luvemfast Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I recently bought some P21s and was amazed at the difference when I waxed the Pulsie compared to the Meguiars stuff I used to use. Never heard of P21s, until now. Looks interesting. Where did you get it from? Hope all is well Dave Quote
reverendzed Posted March 5, 2015 Author Posted March 5, 2015 nothing ultra serious just get's in the way - I've been suffering from acute vertigo which has affected my balance and orientation - The products I've been using for my detailing are the AutoGlym Commercial range, however I'm about to go and check out another product next week that is supposed to be even better - I'll keep you posted! Administrators gav240z Posted March 6, 2015 Administrators Posted March 6, 2015 Where did you get it from? Just as an FYI I live right very close to these guys. https://www.carcareproducts.com.au/ I haven't been in to see them yet, but I think they recently opened in Melbourne also. http://news.carcareproducts.com.au/2014/04/15/melbourne_officially_open Quote
FuzzyDropbear Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Nice work on the repairs Dave, love the seats and that steering wheel is pretty mad bro! Never heard of P21s, until now. Looks interesting. Where did you get it from? Hope all is well Dave I bought it from www.waxit.com.au as I couldn't find a bricks and mortar store in Ballarat that stocked anything other than Meguiars. The one I use is the 100% Carnauba wax, some of their product is marketing though as it's not really 100% Carnauba wax, it's just 100% compared to their other wax which is a mix of beeswax and carnauba. But it's not too pricey and not hard to work with. I would like some of that Autoglym HD wax, it's awesome and I believe it's on my birthday wish list Quote
reverendzed Posted March 7, 2015 Author Posted March 7, 2015 New seat brackets made and seats installed for a trial fit before going to the upholster - all sweet! Probably the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in! - Also got the internal paint all finished and seam sealed! Quote
reverendzed Posted May 23, 2015 Author Posted May 23, 2015 Well it's time for an update - things have moved a little slowly due to lack of funds, due to lack of work! With some new work comes the opportunity to pick up the pace a little. Received my new spoiler thanks to a member from Sydney, it's the PU spoiler in the exact profile I was looking for, it's all ready for me to put some color on! Also played around with my rear spoiler. They never seem to sit flush so I covered the bottom of the hatch with masking tape and then nice shiny duck tape so that I could do a try fit of the spoiler and then use it as a mould to push filler into the gaps. I left it to dry and it then peeled off beautiful smooth and only required minimal sanding. Now if fits up perfectly with no gaps and will be easy to seal to avoid any water getting between the spoiler and the hatch. Also received all of my new upholstery which was custom made for the Alfa GTV seats, diamond stitched interior with diamond stitched inserts for the door cards and diamond stitched centres for the seats. The seats are a freaking heap of work to install properly but once finished is going to look awesome - I'd say this will be the best interior i've done! - Plans are to have the interior properly fitted within the next few weeks and then suspension. I just picked up a set of Tokiko adjustable struts and need to save for some springs and a complete bushing kit. At this stage I'm aiming for an August finish. Quote
reverendzed Posted May 23, 2015 Author Posted May 23, 2015 more of the spoiler ready for finish Quote
chris240 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Rear spoiler !!! Nooooo ! Dont ruin that previous metal Quote
reverendzed Posted May 23, 2015 Author Posted May 23, 2015 Don't fear Chris - I've found a new method of attachment that isn't invasive yet still a solid mount - you could take it off in 5 years time and never see where it has been! Quote
reverendzed Posted May 24, 2015 Author Posted May 24, 2015 1 seat done and dusted - so pleased with the result! My upholsterer can do any model of seats for a fraction of the cost - let me know if you need something in our next order! Quote
Zedric Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 That's a nice Z, and those seats look fantastic!!! Quote
Riceburner Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 That's gonna look sweet when it's done Rev Could PM me some rough details on costs and what's required. My brother will have some Datsun 1600 seats etc to trim in the near future. Quote
