I don't know how to go about adding a poll or whether it's possible, but maybe Gav can help.

I thought I'd make this thread after reading a comment Gav made about never seeing Zs on the street anymore.

So just a question for you Z owners, how often do you drive your cars? I understand a few will be in their build stage but for those of you who have rego on your cars..

I personally try to drive it at least once a week, either around the suburbs casually finding excuses to drive it and some times through local hills.

Any excuse to drive the car if it's good weather.

Sine the best fitting option was "Daily Driven", I chose that, to be more accurate though, it would be "Daily Driven in the summer", since we get a lot of snow up here. ;)

Mine's not on a rotisserie, but just came off stands for the first time in 12 months and basically 2.5 years off the road. It's now going to spend 3 months at the panel beaters :/

When all is said and done (before the Dat Nats next year) it will be back to being a couple of times a month car.

Historically i've driven mine about 60 days a year... but this year I've barely had the time to get it out of the garage which is incredibly sad.

Mine's not on a rotisserie.

Yeah Poll had 6 choices only, so I went with the more likely option. If I could ad 'laid up' I would have.

Was daily driven but she's knock knock knocking  >:(

Haven't driven my Z in a few months and don't have time to pull the engine out :'(

the poll only needs 2 choices.

not enough and every day! 8)

I really wouldnt have any desire to drive mine every day to be honest. Mine is a  modified to be a hard core weekend car that's built to go fast, gladly get back in the 350Z for short or long boring trips with cruise control a/c leather seats etc.

It also takes away from the 'event' of getting to drive the zed in my opinion.

As someone who drives a fairly quick daily driven Z, I can assure you, it does not take away from the "event" of driving the Z. ;)

At this stage it would average out to about twice a year..

This was me with the last 240. Maybe more like 6 times a year. This was a reason, one of a few, for selling in the end.

My original 240 gets fun in the sun on a weekly basis. Still an "event" when I get behind the wheel and fire her up. The other is a primed shell begging for me to find the time to rebuild her. Sound familiar to anyone?

It's amazing how hard it is to find the time to drive the Zed

But I was happy enough just to get mine on the road as I've given up on many projects over the years.

Big thanks Lurch in this case as he told me to spend at least 10 minutes a day on it to keep it going.

I now have 4 other project cars plus the zed and work car on the go but don't get overwhelmed anymore.

With the addition of house renovations and 2 young kids there's not a lot of drive time left but I've finally worked out that driving only half the fun

Weekly driven on average. But it's not uncommon for her to get a month long siesta in the shed during an upgrade or during one of our month long rainy spells.

I find a good time for a drive is in the evening when the Mrs turns on her reality TV (strangely, I find totally unrealistic) it gives me an hour to get through the natio and home. Also take the young bloke for a cruise on the weekend, He loves it.

Totally agree with above, driving is only part of the fun.

8 year build, way too much time at work, family commitments, sister in law taking up valuable shed space, new project filling up the other shed space (and any other poor excuse I can find...) I think i drove it twice last year... thankfully the expense of historic car registration makes it justifiable.

Before i pulled it off the road to rebuild, even though it was a piece of 40 year old un restored garbage that died every time i stopped at lights, i tried to drive it at least twice a week to work. Everyone knew how unreliable it was, so it made a good reason  to for being late, or not showing up for work, id just have to say "car broke on the way!"

Im trying to chip away at it for at least 1 hour per day, but its slowed down quite abit over the last few months, doing a house extension AND planning a wedding takes up alot of time for me  :-\

I can't fathom how people can have 3-4 project cars, i do have the drive to work on mine, but I'll defiantly be having a good few years break before i tackle another project.

Oh and i plan to drive it 1-2x per week when its done.

Rudolf.
