  1. This is an awesome deal, pity you are on the other side of Australia
  2. Its even worse than you think. While channel 10 is showing half the races, most of them are the midnight races (Canada, USA, Brazil etc). Don't think I am going to see much F1 this year
  3. 240Z on the smoking tire.
  4. Welcome Dave Jinxed often posts cruise days in the WA events section, (mostly 300ZX) but get the occasional early Z showing up Also, we like pictures
  5. Looks awesome, dont often see the flares painted white
  6. From Wiki - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_S30 Wheelbase 2,305 mm (90.7 in) Length 4,140 mm (163.0 in) Width 1,626 mm (64.0 in)
  7. I had a comment from the guy at the pits about not having a rear bumper but it was fine by him
  8. I have exactly the same thing with my rb20 Z, but many other things to fix before I bother with a LSD diff
  9. If you buy some aftermarket ones make sure they have some rubber on them. Had to replace the ones on my car when I went over the pits as they were all metal
  10. Was daily driven but she's knock knock knocking Haven't driven my Z in a few months and don't have time to pull the engine out :'(
  11. New episode of RoadKill is up, racing a couple of their cars (including the rotsun) against subarus
  12. Its the use of Comic Sans, 10 year olds will keep trying to buy it thinking its a toy
  13. I will come along for a cruise to York if the weather is good (I have a 240Z)
  14. ITS DONE Here are some before and after pics Tried to take one with the dials lights on but was a little too early
  15. The small gauges are 2 5/8th. Not sure about the large gauges as they were already in the car when I got it but I think they are 4 inch ones
  16. So I am now closed to finished, should be done over the weekend. Here is a couple more pictures I took along the way The new gauges just fit through the holes, so added on these rubber bits to they no longer fit through, then secured them from behind. Put the fuel gauge where the previous owner drilled a massive hole in the dash to put in an oil pressure gauge Doors, dash and other trim bits in Underfelt and carpet That is were I have got to so far. Still got seats, seatbelts, center console, steering wheel and some speakers to go but should be done next weekend
  17. Love Roadkill, can't belive they got it for $500
  18. Not a proper fitted cover but I have an autotechnica cover, pretty good quality and stayed dry for the couple of times it has been out in the rain. The only problem is its a little too tall so scrapes on the ground a little, but other than that it fits well. http://www.autotecnica.com.au/stormguard-full-waterproof-car-cover
  19. When I bought my Z it had retractable seatbelts from America. Didn't pass inspection in Perth as it needs an Australian compliance tag on it. Ended up getting some from seatbeltsolutions.com.au that bolted in the same holes.
  20. Hi All, So I got a new set of black carpets for my Z for christmas to replace my nasty brown interior as well as some gauges I have had for a while that need to be put in. This has resulted in rather more work than any of us envisioned.... Started off stripping the dash, seats and everything else out. Pulling the dash was an absolute pain (in that well known region) due to the stereo wiring being wrapped around every possible thisg, this resulted in rather a lot of foul cursing of the previous owner (my apologies if you did not put it in and please pass my curses on to whoever did ) leaving a mess of wires I am dreading going back to. However on a more positive note there wasnt too much rust, a few little spots here and there but not too bad Used some vinyl spary paint to recolour the trim panels and roof, this worked rather well and ended up going for black and silver (wanted a more grey but silver was as close as I could get with the colours). May change the silver to a dark charcoal if I dont like it, but it needs to go back together before I can make up my mind. Also put in some sound deadener, dBkill. Really easy to put on and from what I have ready 100% coverage looks really nice but is a bit pointless so didnt bother covering every surface, also put some in the doors And now have the first bit of carpet in after quite a few weekends of working on my car
  21. Well done on the build guys. The car is looking amazing
  22. Depends if I can get my interior back in before the end of Jan, been stripped to put in new carpets and dials
  23. Well bolt on flares were the big thing at SEMA this year - http://www.europeancarweb.com/events/1311_liberty_walk_builds_at_sema_2013/ which means that they are going to be out of fashion really soon. Still my Z has flares and a bodykit and I love it
  24. I have the speedhut revolution guages in my car. Seems like a common install in the Z as they have the right sizes and a large selection of guages and options to choose from. If you are going to buy from speedhut I suggest you wait for the black friday sale (end of november sometime), I think I got around 40% off when I bought mine
  25. Looks like great fun Ross, but there is no chance my Z will stand up to a track day. Its leaking coolant and I doubt I will be able to fix it in time
