"Hey guys, looking to sell my 1977 260z 2 seater.

Bought as a project to build up but it's been sitting under a cover since it was purchased and I won't have time to do anything for quite a while yet.. so maybe somebody else has the time?

 

Car has been stored for the last 13 years.

 

Hasn't been started in that time. Appears to be in excellent mechanical condition with 70xxxxkm on the clock from memory. All lights work and cranks over, just haven't put fuel to it.

 

Purchased from 2nd owner.

 

Auto car but not hard to change out to a manual.. 280zx is the donor car of choice.

Interior presents well, wear in drivers seat and dash has cracks as expected.

 

Has rust in the usual spots, floor, passenger lower door and passenger lower front guard. All spots certainly not big or excessive and easily fixed!

 

Small ding on back near hatch.

But it's complete and all parts are available and easily replaceable.

 

These things are so rare now, don't let this slip by as your won't find another.

Don't settle for a 2+2.. buy the real deal.

 

Car is located in toowoomba Queensland stored.

 

Not negotiable, if you try, you will be hung up on. Sorry but I just don't have any room to move on price and not out to entertain dreamers.. if it doesn't sell, she will stay in storage until I find the time.

It was previously listed at $65k at this rate of price drop I'll buy it in a few weeks.

Just double-checked yes it was indeed $65k previously. So $10k reduction. $55k for this car in my opinion is a good buy - although I've not seen the car in person. I just know a bit of it's history. If it's as clean in person as photos suggest and relatively rust free then it would be great to own a rare 240Z-L.

This two seater 260z is appreciating in value every day. Grab one before they become as expensive as the same era 911's!!

 

A very genuine straight car that I wanted to keep forever however as usual life gets in the way and I need to free up some space and money.

 

1977 silver two door with black interior. The car has had a lot of money spent on it to keep it in the condition it is today including:

 

- New engine mounts

- Suspension bushes

- Body rubbers & seals

- Door trims

- Koni adjustable shocks and king springs

- New brake and clutch master cylinder

- New spark plug leads

- 16 x 7 Superlite wheels with almost new tyres

- Carbies recently rebuilt

- New thermostat

 

The car starts and runs like an absolute dream. It is a real shame to let it go and it will be missed.

 

If you buy this car, be prepared for many people to stop you in the street and tell you a story about their old 260z/240z. A true cult car of the 70's!

 

Registered on club plates in Victoria.

 

Car is in storage in Richmond, Victoria and I can be quite flexible about times to view it.

Judging by the pic of the engine bay, it looks like it may have an L28, going on the position of the oil filter.

But I could be wrong. Maybe late model 260Z's had them in the upright position.

Not a zed, but seems a reasonable price for a nice looking car. Admittedly not the more desirable 2 litre version.

1974 RB25det Datsun 260Z Coupe

Up for sale is my modified 1974 Datsun 260z, running a RB25DET.

It is on full NSW registration / August 2017 expiry. Engineered by Fink Engineering for the conversion, brakes, fuel system, instruments, wheels and tyres.


The bad:


Rust on the inside of the fuel cover (the panel)

Small dent in drivers quarter

Gauges not calibrated correctly / Speedo and tacho read as they should

Diff will need a recondition or replacement in the near future, it was rebuilt 18/11.


Interior:

The interior presents well, and in neat condition. The dash is uncracked, with a dash mat. New carpet and underlay, new diamond panel trim. Most if not all of the weather strips have been replaced


Body work:

Sprayed pearl blue and it is in great condition, minus a handful of stone chips and a hand-sized dent in the drivers rear quarter. The rust, that I know of sits in between the fuel cap and quarter panel (refer to pics). The floor pans and normal areas prone to rust are in great condition.


Mechanical:

The engine runs smoothly, the gear box is nice and firm. Starts first go on cold start, and has a nice note to the exhaust.
