  1. Hello, What height are the roll center spacers?
  2. Thanks Gonbz i will chase that up.
  3. Hello I'm looking for mainly a 240z steering column but also interested in 260z. Justin
  4. Yes its collapsible though not as far as the original column due to its design but didn't have any issues with being passed by vehicle modifications. I decided to make my own unit as i wasn't all that happy with how zpower do their unit with the two universals in the lower section which would allow for movement of the column over the rigid design of how i have done mine. Not that there is obviously an issue with it as they sell lots of them its just i didn't like it. Yes it is adjustable though once set you don't adjust at anyway. You don't complain about hydraulic power steering that you can't adjust lol. I have sourced a couple of 260z columns so i can do exchange basis units as i need the original column back so i can keep making them. Cost of the unit would be around the $1500 mark exchange with original column and would include the NDT test certificate, wiring, detailed fitting and calibration instruction all ready to bolt in. The difference in driving with and without it is amazing. I did post information awhile back on here when someone was talking about them while i was making mine up and when it was finished. My wife has a zed car as well and one will certainly be going into it during its rebuild were doing.
  5. I have made my own up for my car along with one for a friends Targa race car. I will be making them up on a exchange basis and they will be supplied with a weld test certificate so you are able to go through vehicle modifications and have it approved so its all legal.

    260Z Parts Wanted

Hi guys I'm still looking for the following parts if anyone can help. 1. 260z Steering columns. 2. A good dash. 3. Triple weber/Dellorto manifold. Justin.
  12. Have you done any chamber work Lurch?
  13. That's the one Peter though not the exact same one I found but how I found it lol. Wonderful what you can find with a bit of looking and research
  14. Yes very hard to get any info out of Dave over there at AZC, not helpful at all even if he does ever reply so I thought #### him I'll do some searching lol. I tracked down a shipping assignment note from HSD to him for shocks, the wonders of the world wide net lol. They are HSD shocks and the guys at sales@otomoto.com.au are so so much more helpful then he was when I was trying to source new adjuster knobs for mine. Though you would have to measure them up and give him the details for him to track down what ones they are as I didn't do that at the time sorry. Justin.
  15. Nice looking 240...... Looks very clean I'm sure you will have a blast driving it Enjoy

Open centre diffs are not too hard to find. A little while back I went to a wreckers in Brisbane, well at Yattla and they had several for $100 each.
  21. Welcome to the forum and i have to agree that's a awesome looking zed and i bet it stands out in Warwick.
  22. Hi Scott, That's coming up awesome. I would be very interested in having a look and a chat to you one day. I've just finished and installed my electric power steering column and what a difference. So many things I want to do....lol Keep up the good work. Justin
  23. Hello, You could try the site called Uship and put an add there and see what people can offer you.
  24. 74zzz how could you not like a V8 zed ...... awesome bit of gear to drive lol
  25. Well this morning I took the zed off the stands and dropped it back on the ground, turned the ignition on to try the steering as its powered on the accessories and nothing........... I'm thinking oh no what's happened....... But then after about 5 seconds the steering comes to life, it must go through some self check when power up. Well from the Armstrong power steering using both hands and arms to turn the zed to now Turing it with pretty much one finger is just amazing to say the least. I could tell the difference in just backing out of the shed and idling up the driveway to the road. Turning a hard left out of the driveway to go up the road use to be a two hand/ arm mission and now to be able to use my right palm was so so strange but so good. Turning the steering was like driving a brand new car, so easy. The next big thing I noticed was the lack of tracking as I was going down the road where it use to want to follow and track every ridge or step in the road but now virtually nothing, all that tracking was gone. Then once out on the main road the first roundabout....... Well with the setup of the zed and its caster plus the bump steer spacers if I had let go of the steering wheel coming out of the roundabout I would have needed a neck brace considering how hard it use to straighten up, that too is now gone and a one hand operation. Since this morning I have taken it on two drives and I have to say I'm loving it, not hat I didn't love driving it before but it's different......... Instead of driving it, which is what was needed because of the 1975 Armstrong power steering now I can drive it with so much more ease allowing me to enjoy the handling and performance it has. Anyway I'm sure for the guys out there who has power steering they are well aware of what in talking about.
