  1. Try these options: 1. Take her out for lunch to Macedon and just step outside for a minute ..... 2. Give her a champagne breakfast and slip a Rohy into hers .... 3. Send her on a treasure hunt to find her present - she can follow the clues all the way to Hanging Rock where we sing happy birthday to her .... 4. Get called away for work on the 3rd and it turns into an all nighter .... 5. Discuss with her the value of celebrating a day that signifies her getting closer to 'the change' or not to get excited as she'll probably have another one next year - so what's the big deal ..... 6. Man up and tell her that you're going and that she probably would be bored shartless, but because it's her birthday she can come if she wants. Choose one and I'll see you there. Happy Birthday Sher.
  2. I'll be going. Let me know the plans. Obviously I'll be Zedless.
  3. I know you want to rephrase that I suspect you mean to say that you have joined my SC league. well done.
  4. What he said! ^^^^^^^^ Never a truer word was spoken.
  5. So now that you have fulfilled your dreams it must be time to move onto your next project (my Zed ). Well done guys. You have done an amazing job with the rebuild of this car. You have also done an amazing job with the production of this thread. I'm prepared to bet that I'm not the only one here who has checked every day for your updates, which have provided inspiration, knowledge and entertainment. A great big thank you from me. Seriously, come over east a build my car!
  6. G'day all. I've started a league comp in Supercoach again. All are invited (even Hawthorn supporters) to join. It's not serious, it's just for a bit of fun. It's very easy to join and easy to play. http://supercoach.heraldsun.com.au/ Register (try a username either the same as here or simply put a 'Z' in your name so others will know you may be crap at supercoach, but at least you have excellent taste in cars) and select to 'join a league'. enter the number 992446 and get into selecting your team. It's that easy. some sites that may help in your research (Google 'afl supercoach 2014' for more) www.scpaige.com.au/‎ www.supercoachtalk.com/‎ www.jockreynolds.com.au/‎ Have a go. It is fun. MaygZ

  12. I agree. Just check out the Whitte/TT Aero build for inspiration. It certainly inspires me!! It's supposed to start up today!!
  13. WELL ......... Come on! It's nearly 9.00 am. Start this beauty already!!!!!! waiting ...... waiting .......
  14. G'day. there is a bloke who advertises on eBay. I think he is South Australian. He supplys replacement floors, the rear slam panel, lower front guard patches and sills. he doesn't have anything up at the moment - probably as he might have gone away for the summer break, but I don't know of any reason he wont be back and advertising soon. I have bought from him and have always been very happy with the speed of his service/delivery. I'm sorry I can't find his link or store name at the moment. MaygZ
  15. I've still got a pair of rear Koni yellows for non-turbo I would like to swap for cash.
  16. Gee mate, she hasn't give it much of a chance to grow on her. She's right though - one of them has to go!
  17. Hey Lurch, does mine look that shiney??
  18. Somewhat defeats the purpose of 'matching numbers' and I would suggest it is on a similar ethical basis as winding back a speedo. Please don't do this.
  19. Which way you headed?
  20. Two things I did: enrole in a TAFE welding course - most of the welding we did was on 3mm+ plate so not exactly what I wanted - maybe should have made inqs about the sheet metal guys to see if they did any welding; went to the local panel beaters and asked for some stuffed panels - got a couple of guards, cut them up and welded them back together. Helped me set up the welder (close as the new panels were a bit thinker than the Z panel), but got me more used to welding without warping. Now just before Lurch chimes in, I'm still a pretty shit welder but I'm better than I would have been without doing these things. MaygZ
  21. Have a chat with Rev. He was delivery very nice kits a couple of years ago. Don't know if they were made locally or if he imported them. Of course he is in the country of great excess at the moment so may be able to help either way. Check Revs Emporium thread for pictures
  22. Never be scared to ask a trimmer for a quote. You might be surprised and it is no longer viable to do it yourself Or it could be horrendously expensive and at least you then have a starting point. My advice: get a quote and see how much. Then again have a look at Whitties build thread. He's trimming at the moment. He's using expensive material and a trimmer. I doubt he's getting much change from about $1200 - but it looks worth every penny. Often a cheap job looks exactly that - cheap!
  23. That stuff looks great. He has done a great job to get it to take all the contours. Looks to be worth every penny. Good choice of material and trimmer. Love this car!!

  25. I don't understand what all the commotion is about. My nuts are like bean bags and get in the way when I sit down. I have to lift them up each time. I can't even remember what they are for??? I'd sell mine for a good night's sleep!
