  4. Hey Gareth there is a lot of good technical info in that thread. Gav you should make it a sticky! And are our threads as rusty as our cars that they need restoration? haha
  5. Close combustion chamber, which is better for making a high compression engine.
  6. Since the question has been answered and I agree with the first two answers... There is no way that ITB EFI costs the same as a carby setup because of the ancillary devices you need to run it. Sure ITB units themselves are on par with the carbs for cost but there are so many other things you need like a computer, surge tank, high volume pumps, bigger return line etc etc. PS when are you coming to get your Konis?
  7. I have flares, 16x9.5 watanabes and the hat, but no hair or tats haha.
  8. Wood is for rookies, i just use all the cardboard from the boxes of the 15 electric fuel pumps i bought and glue them together to to create a custom height gauge.
  9. As a JDM AF flat brimmer I think no, the seller is just trying it on. You can still buy them new for less than that delivered.
  10. I use a stock 240Z pump on an L28 with triple 45 webers and it works...
  11. Did Les put your motor on the dyno?
  12. Aren't those seals the worst job on the car. I really hated doing this part. I had the Motorsport Auto seal kit and getting them to stick was really hard.
  13. You will need that much to put a RWD RB25DET in if you aren't doing everything yourself, by the time it's registered and on the road.
  14. One question, what is your budget?
  15. Bump, can anyone help me out?
  16. You avatar puzzles me then haha.
  17. Do you want the size of the bolts to put in your MCA strut tops so they don't contact the bonnet? I replaced mine and they are still long enough to fit a strut bar.
  18. Seriously though, if there was a car to put Z-G flares on this is it...
  19. Lol of course not, that's why i posted it!
  20. With the fuel tank, I took mine to my panel beater and got them to spray it in gloss black 2 pack looks great.
  21. What's the difference between this and a 240Z one?
  22. It's not an argument, it's a discussion and without threads like this, the forum would be full of questions about tuning SUs and what part goes where threads which are pretty boring. You can pretty much quash any discussion thread by saying "do what you want". Arguably the 2+2 is a different car to the 2 seater as well by that measure, it has a completely different floor pan. The '76 onward 260Z 2 seaters could be said to not share a commonality with the 240Z too. Come to think of it, I wonder besides the front panels how much of the componentry actually would be interchangeable between the two without some modification. Like obviously the drive line, because even my 240Z has Z31, Skyline and Navara bits in it but all the interior, doors, hatch, fuel systems etc were all quite updated by that stage. My first car was a '78 2+2 too, but I i think basically all 2 seaters are > 2+2s in the looks and street car performance departments. Gav I don't think we should have to clarify if it's personal preference, surely all posts on a forum are taken from that angle. Or are people so sensitive we have to coddle their feelings? hahah.
  23. @Gav I would put the 280ZX 2 seater above all 2+2s.
