This is so tempting......
Is this everything needed to fit the carbs? I have twin SU's and would just like the sound of side-drafts...
What was the engine they came off? (do you know?)
The alloy one you need to watch out for the fins per inch to make sure they are comparable to what you have now.
When I had asked this question for my 2000 Sports I was recommended to try this mob who used to take the top and bottom off and clean the cores thoroughly.
I am going to drop mine off there this week to see if they still will do it this way.

What type of finish can they do? Can you get the "painted" look or are they a texture finish?
Any idea long term effect of the paint and panel underneath?
Great George, I am looking at getting one for my 2000 Sports which they list as one they do...might hold off until you get yours (if I can be that patient )
You must be giving them one that they will make a template for future looms.

I have a set of originals just sitting in my shed that I could loan you indefinitely....hate selling anything
It is very simple but first look at the manual so you understand what all the parts look like. Do you have the manual?
The bush mechanics (mine) fix instead of cleaning out the whole carbie. You just need to:
- disconnect the fuel lines
- undo the screws holding the fuel bowl on
- remove bowl, careful not to damage gasket
- you will see the float the that is held in place with a pin
- remove the pin very carefully as this holds in the float needle
- then remove needle and float at the same time (very fiddley)
- clean out needle seat and all parts removed
- blow through line where the fuel feeds in
- reassemble float and needle
- blow through again and raise the float to see that it stops flow and check at what height it switches fuel off
- put bowl back on and you are away
If it has been sitting around for a long time, as a minimum:
- take out all the fuel
- clean out fuel bowl in the SU's and float needle
- new fuel filter
- new plugs would not hurt
- flush radiator also a good idea
