  1. Off topic but that 1200 looks neat as zzzzed. Still got it or did you have to sell it to buy z's?
  2. That's a big compliment if people in another country are using pics of your car to show what they'd like their Z to look like!
  3. A couple of years ago I tried some Bendix ceramic pads in the rear of mine that were supposed to be the new great thing out at the time...............They lasted one race and were down to the metal................
  4. I voted for the blue
  5. Please don't..............
  6. Ah, ok cool. I was a bit worried that it might end up looking like a Torana SLR with wheelbarrow wheels fitted I got mine of a member on ozdat called Z Kid but he did comment that they were the last set of the batch he made. Just after I got them I got a message from a member on here called 'Vinny' saying he had a set he wanted to sell. Might be worth a try. And as Lurch commented, Ash is very good. I got my rear spolier off him and he was excellent to deal with.
  7. Yep, it's very noisy and very tight. When you turn slowly around tight corners the inside wheel skips a bit like you're running a weldy only not as bad. And it makes all kinds of horrid clunks and bangs like it's about to fall apart. When you drive hard with it it's still noisy (only around corners) but the motion is silky smooth which really surprised me. I don't even feel it kick in and I feel just as confident knowing what it's going to do as I did with the weldy. So basically, if you want an LSD for track days and don't mind if it's not real nice on the road then I think this is a very good diff for the price. But if you only use the car on the road then I would lean more towards a 2nd hand one out of an import.
  8. That's weird cause they were listed in a price list they sent me. I think they were only $55 each which is an awesome price! nedloh312, didn't I read in another post that you have bought a set of 15 X 7's? I wouldn't go for flares unless you have wheels at least 8.5-9 inches wide or it will look a bit strange in my opinion.
  9. That is the part number of the centre in mine. The previous owner had CV shafts in his so I wanted to check it would work with my standard shafts and that is the part number he gave me for the centre.
  10. Bluerat was that excited he called to tell me about it
  11. Found out from the guys I get my brake pads from that Subaru use the same Sumitomo calliper with Subaru stamped on it instead of Nissan. I guess that would explain why the rotors I used for my conversion are designed for a Subaru
  12. There is a very good post by a member called Matt towards the bottom of this page: http://www.ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=4034&start=15 I bought a R200 with the KAAZ centre for a non-turbo S13 already fitted off a member on this forum (Vindicare). This is a good option if you don't want the expense of changing your drive shafts. The thread above lists the details of the centre you need to buy. R180's are fine. My car had always had a welded R180 in it until the start of the year. The only reason I switched to the R200 was so I could go for the easy LSD option. In most cases you'll bust your gearbox well before you bust an R180 unless you're doing big single wheel burnouts If you can stick with R180 it's a great weight saving, although the weight is low and to the back of the car so if you're going to add weight that's where you want to do it. The other good thing about R180's is you can get lots of different ratios for bugger all cost.
  13. Isn't this car in the Nissan museum. still with all the damage? Or is that another one?
  14. At least they're starting to go the right way with the Z again making it lighter each time now instead of heavier! Will be interesting to see what they think of it. I reckon this series has been pretty good. And if you watch the very early episodes of Top Gear UK they weren't that flash either so I'm sure the Aus version will get better and better.
  15. Yep, that one will replace the front panel.
  16. That's awesome. Would be interesting to find out where the car is now.
  17. I take it those pics were taken with the offset strut tops in? Doesn't seem to be much camber there yet.
  18. I think later model RX7 turbo injectors are popular for L28 turbos?
  19. Mine were already in the car when I bought it but I'm pretty sure they're 500cc Bosch items. Making around 200rwkw and the guy that tunes it said they still have plenty more left in them.
  20. Depends on your situation really. For what I use my car for Shannons were cheap and I doubt there's many places that would even consider insuring my car. A couple of years ago I had an early GSR turbo lancer for a daily and was still under 25. Shannons quote was $700, I ended up going through Allianz for $400. So it all depends on your situation, shop around!
  21. Scando

    cam for L28ET

Thanks guys. I've kinda got sidetracked by Sinisha's comments about getting a later ball bearing turbo and haven't put much more thought into the cam. Definatly something I'll look into shortly though. I'm getting a bit ahead of myself, still need to get the new computer on!
  22. That sucks. Even if it didn't do much damage I'd report it to the police just to make him pay for being a prick and driving off.
  23. I've got mine insured for $15K through shannons and they know it's a very heavily modified circuit car with a turbo. Because it's only on special interest rego the insurance is only about $150 per year! It's cheaper than the 3rd party insurance I've got on my Bluebird wagon! I do have a CAMS license and am a member of a CAMS affiliated car club which I think helps with Shannons as Lurch said.
  24. Any pics from the weekend zedls1?
  25. You're not being tempted across to the dark side of flares are you Lurch? Mwahaha
