It is probably a topic for a seperate thread, but I thought it was relevant.
Get you car on CH Plates Craig for when the new scheme comes in this year.
Attached is the discussion paper from Vicroads:
http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rdonlyres/C6BA43FA-C317-4A23-AB40-CAA0906A7815/0/VicCarClubBrochure_WEB.pdf
they are asking for feedback on it at the moment.
The relevance being that you can drive your car upto 90 days a year when ever you like. It is administered by the car club so that you don't need to go get a RWC or through vicroads, and I can't see that the police will have any ability to issue dodgy canaries on club plated cars.
The only downside being you lose your personalised plates.

thought I would revive this topic from last year to see if there was any interest in doing something similiar in 2010?
I have had a look on the PIARC website, there doesn't appear to be a 2010 calendar up as yet, but once it appears I'll put up the events to guage interest.
cheers

Just to clarify what is the next step with this.

Does he have a price in mind?
Whats is the best way to contact him?

(thanks John for your efforts!!!!!)
They do a restoration course at Kangan Batman Tafe at docklands in town (Melbourne). You can take your own projects in and use all the resources, tools, welders etc and the teachers are fantastic for help.
A mate has just upgraded his wolf 3D in his 240z rally car to a later version Wolf ECU. It is running throttle bodies.
I am pretty sure he would be happy to sell you the old ECU if you are interested.
I don't know anything about version but can forward his number to you if you want some more information.
cheers

I haven't got my car back yet from getting the cam and dissy sorted so unless I get the call Thursday or Friday to say it is ready I am out as well.
sorry about that
hope you have a good drive
I should have them, as I have just swapped over all the 240 bits onto my 280zx engine.
If I can find them, they are yours.
I'll check in the garage in the morning and let you know
cheers
Bruce
Have just spoken to the director.
there is still plenty of spots left for both Saturday and Sunday (especially Sunday), and as it stands you are likely to get 7-8 runs if you want them.
It is still not too late to enter
cheers
