  1. Just as a side note, I just got a new master cylinder from bgt brakes in Hawthorn for $80. (Quite reasonable I thought) cheers Bruce
  2. NCCA are running the annual John Mott Memorial Sprint at Sandown on the weekend of the 30th and 31st of July. The schedule for the weekend is a track familiarisation day on the Saturday (with passengers allowed at certain times) and Sunday will be run as a number of multi start sprints which form a part of the Group 5 Sprint Series for 2006. They expect approximately 1 hour of track time on Saturday, and typically four or five runs on the Sunday (more if time allows). Entry fee is $120 for each day (Entries after 22/7/06 $130) If entering both days a discount entry fee of $210 applies. Supp regs are available from here: John Mott Supp Regs hope to see you there cheers Bruce
  3. Sorry to steal this thread, but does anybody know if stock wheels of a silvia will fit a Z. They seem to be in abundance and relatively cheap (and 4 stud and 15 inch). I want to fit some 60/55/50 series racing tyres to them cheers Bruce
  4. Well done on the purchase. Sounds like a really good price. Had you seen them before I put the post up?
  5. There is some triple solex carbies on ebay currently(without manifold). Just wondering if anyone has had any experience/comments/etc about them? cheers Bruce
  6. Apart from rust, is there any other common issues that 240z's are pulled up on when having a roadworthy check? cheers Bruce
  7. Its a 73 model. I think the compliance plate once existed on the drivers side strut tower as there are 3 holes above the factory ID plate. thanks for the replies people, hope to have my car RW and registered very soon, cheers Bruce
  8. If you live down the southern side of Melbourne, Mammi Motors at Somerville do heaps of work on L series motors, they also have a dyno. When I've been down there getting some stuff done on my Lseries 1200 they chew your ear off talking about datsuns (not specifically Z's). good guys.
  9. Hi Guys, I'm new to the forum having just bought a 240z last week. I am trying to find where the compliance plate was/should be located. It has the factory fitted id plate located on the right hand side strut tower. I just spoke to someone at Vicroads regarding registering it without the compliance plate. They said that if i have the supporting paperwork from the previous owner to verify that it was registered etc, I shouldn't have any dramas if the compliance plate no longer exists. cheers Bruce
