Hi Guys, It has been brought to my attention that round 9 of the V8 Super Cars is racing at Winton on the weekend of 2nd and 3rd August 2008 and a number of members are hoping to attending. As there might be additional members that might be in the same situation we have moved the Apollo Bay Cruise forward by a week to the weekend of the 26th & 27th of July 08. It's still almost two months away so hopefully this date is still good for the everybody else. Sulio

Just out of curiosity I thought I'd install the spare 155 main jets i had. Obviously made mixture very rich and power dropped right off on both mid range and top end. Stopped pulling after 4000rpm with the 155's. Sulio 2794_.pdf

Get it repaired (plastic welded) and then hit it with vynil paint to give it a fresh new look. Those rear plastics are pretty hard to come by in good nick. Sulio

Hi Guys, While we are on the topic of timing, I find that i can't rotate the dizzy to get any higher than 12 deg idle timing as it's limited by the flat with the "track" through it. What can I do if I want to try out more advance setting? SUlio

I might be going away that long weekend depeding on availability of a house we usually use in Rye. Appollo Bay during long weekend will be very busy. Prolly spend most of the time following slow station wagons with caravans but don't let me influence your descion too much as I'm still not 100% that I'll be able to make it. PZG302, yer there seem to be so many variations on figures. As per the HybridZ thread I added on the first page there seem to be people that pull really good figures on fairly lightly modded motors whilst at the same time others that have spent alot more to only get a little more HP!? I'm not chasing numbers just eager to see what the motor will be making when I get a chance to put it on a Dyno. I think you might have misread my statement re 200HP, I would just like to go for a drive in a car running this just to get some sort of bench mark figure. Very ineteresting to get some info on those track Z's you run against.\, gives me further perspective. I am not planning to blow too much money on the motor and when the time comes I'll be picking everyones brain here to get the most bang for my buck. I want to be realistic re brakes and suspension and my driving skills. I reckon best to improve on all of these before trying to go for significant power increases. I've heard the above also. Alot of the current high pricing is economics (uncertainty) and thats why OPEC are saying they will not pump more out. OPEC is saying the supplies are sufficient and it's only the market thats forced up the price which is great if your selling oil. Sulio
