  4. Hi Gav, I think alot of early Z owner's have an interest in the Roadster so if you wanted to start with a model that alot of existing Auszcar members would frequent that would be a good place to start. I know your looking for answers and not questions however just curious are you trying to make the other sites geared to an Australian audience like Auszcar or a global theme? Sounds like a bit of time to manage but if your enjoying it and you have a big market potential it could bring you in some dollars and make it worth staying up late for!? I really enjoy front page articals and the fact that every month or so there is a new one on Auszcar gives it a fresh feel and reason to log on via front page and not straight to forums. I also frequently use the latest posts on the front page and pics from the gallery. I think this site needs more detail on that new "upcoming events" box on the front page to show date of event first and possibly have the same type of box showing on the page of the forums to promote events as much as possible, (nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd). Cheers, Sulio EDIT: oh and other cars outside of Japanese I would find ineteresting to see a good site for are: are old Mercs ...and old 911 Porsches, late 60's models, 911sc's and the 80's Carrera's!
  5. Ah another NSW member, welcome! Don't forget to ulpoad some pics of your car(s) to the site galleries! Cheers, Sulio

  9. I see those brass bush's on e-bay every so often. Mines pretty nice and tight, 280zx box. Sulio
  10. Oooh now thats a commitment, Vic to QLD for the Nationals. Hmmm...it would be exciting to make the drive up a group thing that goes for 3 to 4 days through back roads finishing at the Nationals!? Just putting it out there as it's some time away! Sulio
  11. Hi Warren, I drilled and tapped the redline manifold at the front. I'm pretty sure that the vacuum created when at idle is so low it will not effect your timing advance but when you give it a rev obviously the carbs pull air through pretty hard and there's the advance when you need it at revs. I've seen a few that have the balancing tube that runs along the top and assume it would provide more vacuum for brake booster! I'm happy with how mine is pulling through the rev range. You can check it out this coming weekend if you like. Sulio
  12. Will do Craig. Sulio
  13. http://www.finalgear.com/shows/topgear/ ...oh and Fifth Gear also should some one follow that show!? http://www.finalgear.com/shows/fifthgear/ Sulio
  14. Yer next week is poker weekend with the boys for me but maybe the following. I'm sure we'll talk on the phone quite a bit so lets play it by ear, might even be able to do it after work one weekday.
  15. Hey Mick, if you decide to have a cruise day please advise if it's a "more Z's the Merrier" type of thing and I will update it in the events calendar for max exposure!? Sulio sorry, don't want to hijack thread, you can PM if interested.
  16. Gav, when I log in to admin section were do I log into update the new section you added on the front page? I want to add the July Jag Club meeting to the front page? Sulio
  17. hmmm...sit it on a tripod, reduce your apature and lengthen the shutter speed to 1 full sec or so then all you need to do is play with the ISO setting till you get perfect shot after shot. Hey Dimitri, I know of some deserted rail yards with a cool old loading dock not far from my place and I've been planning to get some shots there so if your inetersted on a weekend we can organise something with the cars! Sulio
  18. Dimitri and I made the most of the good weather last weekend and went for a spin to Macedon on Sunday afternoon. We stumbled across the Nicholas Cage movie set, "Knowing". We were hoping to test out Dimitri's video camera which was great but I had trouble converting the DVD format to avi so I just used some snippets I had from my camera. A short vid below: http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=XPTICxRZZ3c Sulio
  19. Hi Gav, Yer looks good, so I can manually update other events now, ie the meeting in Aug at the Jag Club so we can get max exposure. Thanks. I did notice you have the following under the event: I think the above is a great idea however justy above it you should place a link to the Calendar of Events page for people to easily navigate there is interest is sparked. Also, can that box you have added be set so that it actuaaly displays the first 2 to 3 calendar events as per the actual page we have? If not no biggy I can easily keep it updtaed manually. Thanks Again, Sulio
  20. Yer the Miura concept car was my first thought when I saw that rear end but the guy certainly has got taste as that thing is also beutiful, both the "new" and old one of my favourate shaped cars. Sulio
  21. Thanks Modular9. We all eagerly await the results! Sulio
  22. Looks very nice. hmmm...some lowered king Springs would be the icing on the cake. Sulio
  23. Yer found them o n Classic Z. MrCamo (user) posted them. From memeory the thread advised some guy in Sweden did them as and it is not a concept car. I reckon it should be though! Sulio
