You don't find many rolling shells for less than 2K anymore hey!? Even the rust buckets are pricey. Sulio

when I had my seats done i paid $360 for both to be finsihed as per original with the two grains and the little air vents. I would'nt pay any more than that. SUlio

2+2 do tend to be cheaper but you can get some tough looking 2+2's as a recent member sign up from Ireland showed us: Cheers, Sulio

FuFu'Z 240Z Project! 56K warning... too slow.

Fufu, when do you think it might be on the road? Sulio -
Dimitri might be able to answer this as I do recall him saying he needed to get his engine mounts supplied by Castlemaine Rod Shop altered due to an alignment issue whilst installing his RB motor recently!? Sulio

It was a great night. You definately don't get a full appreciation for how much work Ben has put into his car from photo's alone. It really is a case of "the best of both worlds!" and we all enjoyed getting a close look at it and hearing about Bens journey of building a few cars before this one to get to the point he is at now with this beast of a Z. I'm already looking forward to the next meeting but not before next weeks cruise which should be a ball. As Craig said our short term aim is to get more organised as a club prior to the next meeting. The Jag Club is a great venue for meetings during the cold winter evenings. Ash brought along some cool Japanese DVD Z footage which we played quietly in the back ground on a very large projector screen. It has given me some ideas for our next meeting. Perhaps a short film of 30 to 40 minutes that covers some of the members cars and the stories behind them, I'll keep this a little bit of a side project and we could have a little premiere on the big screen at our next meeting. Cheers, Sulio

Rev, Good advise from Dimitri, use the original fuel rail as it will allow you to run the return. It could well be that they are over pressurising at low revs as this is what happend to me when I ran without a return. If you don't use the stock fuel rail you will need to the right connection on the last carb. Here is a pic of how I set them up with stock rail and it worked well. sorry about the quality. Sulio

If you don't cut them you could always put a lift kit on the car to go for the 4x4 look. If your not gonna cut them your option will be to have only a little bit of suspension travel and go really hard on the rears. I've always thought that the Japanese cars that don't have them cut look like they sit high off the ground. I personally think it looks cheesy. If you want to get the right look just cut em. Don't stress it's a Datsun not a ferrari. And I've always thought if anybody with cut guards was that keen to get them looking stock again just put the mulla aside and get them welded back. It's sheet metal man, not diamonds. Sulio

Hi Dave, 1. Not familiar with Mikuni's but Im sure they would be similar to Deollortos. They almost look like some sort of over pressure line, mabye fuel relief? 2. Just put a small filter on that pipe. It allows pressure to relieve from the crank and bottom end. 3. The one from your pump obvioulsy goes to the carbs, the other should be a return. Hard to tell from the pics. Sulio Does it start?

Wow Jay, That looks fantastic. It's the wheels that top it off, amazing how good it makes it look when the flares are filled properly. Good work. Sulio You should prepare an artical for your car that we can feature on the front page.

Good to hear Rev, Joel, sounds like it's gonna be a good turn out. I'm sure we'll see quite a few nice Z's in the car park on the night. Sulio

I reckon they need at least the lense covers on the lights. I'm not a fan. Sulio

What you would like your Z to look like?

I think it might be on the first page. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=123576&highlight=group+buy Nice wheels. If you wait I think they will have the RB-R's like NZeders coming out in this style. Proper dish as you will find when you read the post above. Cheers, Sulio -
