  1. As you have discovered these cars are super reliable when they have been looked after like your car. It's great to see such a stock 260z, well done for continuing to look after it.
  2. Please share photos from the day when you get a chance.
  3. In my opinion the best rubber kits seem to always be OEM. I know this isn't a 240z, but for my FD RX-7 I went aftermarket - although I originally told the bodyshop I wanted OEM they said the aftermarket ones were fine, but I was pretty disappointed with the aftermarket fitment. So unless there is a substantial price difference, for me I'd go OEM. I seem to recall a thread a while back re: someone being happy with aftermarket units, but I can't recall which build thread it was. *Edit here it is* http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,4168.msg138099.html#msg138099
  4. Just saw it also, looks like a clean example. I wouldn't care about LHD myself.
  5. Yeah I'd want to see it first. Might be worth ordering 1 of the smaller vinyl trims first to see how they look?
  6. I would be interested in something more like the OEM pattern, I was looking at Yahoo! Japan for original vinyl - even in rough shape, as my car was redone in carpet and I hate it. However getting the right shape out of donor material would be a concern of mine. If you do give it a go though, all the best with it.

  8. Yes please! Should be home around Christmas - looking forward to Christmas BBQ.
  9. Not a Z but a pretty cool JDM classic. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/penrith/cars-vans-utes/1967-toyota-crown-ms45-swaps-triumph-ford-honda-/1029136668 I like it, make for a good cruiser. 2JZ anyone?
  10. So Triples really transform the motor it sounds like? I've never driven a Z on Triples believe it or not? I can't wait to install my 44 Mikuni's but it really needs to be properly set up.
  11. Finally indeed! - Love it, I think I'm getting that size Watanabe's on mine now (no flares, at least for now). I've got the dual exhaust like that on mine - although they look like they are powder coated white? I think I might put the white circles on the door for a number to go and only thing I'd really change from what he's done is the front spoiler (a bit too modern looking) I'd rather a small 'spook' like the BRE style and chrome trim headlight covers. Job Done! Oh and a Peter Mac built L28 haha.
  12. Merged into this thread
  13. By the way I have seen that spoiler fitted to the UK market cars although I'm not sure they are actually exactly the same shape... The 1 on the 240z you previously had looks more like the UK version, where as the picture of the part you posted looks more like the 1 Len Brennan's website has and I have.
  14. Hey mate, I have 1 of these in the garage I'm not using. I haven't sold it because I kinda like it but don't want to drill holes to fit it. When are you next in Australia? I'm now living in Sydney but plan to be back in Melbourne around Christmas time etc.. I believe Len Brennan used to have a mould of these also and was selling them. I can't find his Z-car website but I found this. http://www.len-brennan.com.au/Contact.htm *edit found this on archive.org. http://web.archive.org/web/20130409152648/http://len-brennan.com.au/ZProducts.html Same fella, hope he's still doing well also! I haven't spoken to him in a while. He has an account here but not sure he would be checking his PMs etc..
  15. Moved to wanted section.
  16. L-series turbo set up for triple carbs - awesome sauce. This would certainly be unique. http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n123405477 L28 engine TO4S cab turbo S30Z Hakosuka 130 It was removed from the L28 breaks 3-liter Fairlady Z of the S30, the cab is TO4S turbo set. Thing of the image is all. One-off custom manifold, thrust TO4S turbine, HKS wastegate and intercooler is HKS twin one-off product, fin type of trust design, with surge tank. Previously set up with Triple Solex 44, but the carbs are not included. The piping comes with intercooler, but there may be some work required to make it fit your vehicle. We recommend replacing the rubber couplers due to their age. Fuel control is controlled by 3 REVIC (ECU?) with four additional capacity unknown injectors, but REVIC is not included in sale. Various fittings and screws are included for the lid of the surge tank, but gaskets are not provided. L-carb turbo is a specification that can be develop more than 500 horsepower. Please consult a professional when fitting to your own vehicle as there is no warranty etc...
  17. Nice I like it.
  18. Hi mate, Bit early to be saying this but I've been thinking of starting a small part time business specialised in helping members find parts they need. If you have part no's I may be able to help source them? I was going to start a thread about this once I've settled in, in Sydney. But if you get stuck let me know and I'll do my best to try and help you out?
  19. Yeah it's pretty bad in the 240z, those big vehicles never see you. So be extra vigilant.
  20. I don't think it's so bad to be honest. The import process is more hassle than anything else.
  21. Agree - even though I work for Google, I think it's something that needs to be discussed and sorted before it gets out of hand. Whilst all this data can be used for good, it doens't take much for it to be used in the wrong way also.
  22. You will like this I suspect. http://www.abc.net.au/4corners/stories/2013/09/09/3842009.htm
  23. I appreciate that mate, but you were first in line and I won't get a chance to install it for a while yet. So if you have a use for it, go for it.
  24. If Cuoung doesn't want it for any reason I'll have it? Free is best price.
