  1. Hi mate, Just wondering if the passenger well foot rest / panic bar is part of that pile of misc stuff? I am interested in the foot rest, but it looks like you're missing a fastener / bracket at the bottom? I may have missed the price for it though?
  2. A place in Sydney here does vacuum chrome. http://www.bronzingstudio.com.au/ http://www.chrometech.com.au/
  3. Thanks Alan, I was always trying to work out what it meant. I did see it often mentioned with early S30z tail lights, so I thought maybe it meant turn signal. But thanks for clarifying.
  4. I'm just going to park these images here because Craigslist deletes images and postings quickly... http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/5256022426.html I can't tell if it's fiberglass mould or not. However it looks well made and certainly looks at home in the engine bay.
  5. Here's a tip that sometimes works for images... Right click on an image and select Search Google For This Image. You'll find this page. http://response.jp/article/2015/08/25/258624.html and I believe that Silver car may be the GreenLeaves Japan user on Youtube who sells Mikuni Carbs on eBay. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjHP87vqohA See link here: http://www.gl2007.com/usa_kyusha.html
  6. Yeah I had 1 also and sold it to someone who really want it, thought I'd find another easily. At least Jay Ataka seems to supply them. http://jdm-car-parts.com/collections/body-exterior-parts-nissan-fairlady-z-240z-260z-280z-280zx/products/nismo-type-front-spoiler-for-datsun-240z-260z I'd refer to it as the Scuderia Nissan front lip. Alan explained a bit about them here. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/11264-safari-brown-i-mean-gold-the-nsw-project/?p=162140 Not sure never seen them before. Edit* Actually they may be later S31 mirros which are usually chrome and stick out, but look to be painted black?
  7. Just an FYI, I was finally motivated enough to switch over. After reading something about EnergyAustralia being 1 of the worst power companies for GreenHouse emissions. I'll let you all know if my power bill is also cheaper as a result.
  8. Early S30z for sale in Japan. http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/v437873966 Current price: 600,000 yen Google Translate. I think "Wanteru" is a bad translation for early or previous (zenki).
  9. LOL, yeah this is another hobby I really don't need. I've been looking at building a Cafe Racer also, but really first things first for me. The Honda bikes are well regarded, well really any of the Japanese stuff is. I've been looking at Kawasaki and Suzuki bikes, but like I say got enough to do on my cars for now. Have you got your license yet George? It does look like a clean example. Well done.
  10. Yes photo uploads should be easier these days with the new software. Good to see the old girl has been with you a while. With a name like Norio are you originally Japanese or from Japan? I see you have a Fairlady Z Grille on your GRS30 .
  11. Up a brown creek with no propulsion method available.
  12. Everything that's old is new again, not sure how I missed this thread but.. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/10657-z-car-bumper-overriders/ Towel rail...
  13. Another mint example.
  14. Personal preference, but I prefer the non-fluted hoods and I haven't been able to find a good 1 for a while. I come across the vented ones more often it would seem. The flutes make the hood look shorter and it ruins the clean lines of the long bonnet in my opinion. Then there is the design of the flutes which remind me of those things you see in people's houses when they have ducted heating... Too late 70s for me, and I prefer 60s car design attributes, which means less plastic and more metal shaping. Since I haven't found a good rust free standard bonnet I think I'll patch up my flutes to make my fluted bonnet non-fluted. For now I'm happy to have vented ones as the more desirable. Much easier to vent the inspection flaps and change them over if you get sick of them.
  15. It was a North American accessory think it was made by amco or something. I think it is horrid myself.
  16. My sentiments exactly, It's said that a wise person learns from his mistakes. A wiser one learns from others. But everyone wants a bargain.
  17. It's the Rocket Bunny style, very in vogue right now I guess.. It's not really my thing on the FD3S or the S30Z
  18. Simple, during rust repair the guard was replaced with a 240z item. Not everyone cares for the minor details like say I or you would . But is it really over priced? I personally don't think so, sure it's not period correct colour the paint isn't the best from the sounds of it. However if it is a solid body car it's always worth paying extra for that in my opinion. I think cars like the 12K 260z coupe we saw recently are the exception not rule, as the early girl bingo thread highlights of the first 240z's in the country not many are left, those that are are in various states of disrepair often or have been modified extensively and very few have come up for sale. Many of these cars have been in the same hands for a long time. So rarely appear on the market. If the numbers on 260z coupe's are to be believed there is even less 2 seater 260z's than there were 240z's imported. I think we can all agree they are very rare to see on the road now. 240z, 260z, 260z 2+2 even 280zx's are seldom seen these days. In 240z_au's thread he mentioned the acid dipping guys hadn't seen a 240z come in, so either nobody has dipped a 240z or most of the classics they see are other makes and not S30z's. Again another indicator that what we have is very rare now. In Japan an S31 is probably selling for 20-30K AUD and often in no better condition. It's much more expensive to import a car than buy 1 locally, sure you can get a LHD car from the US but even that's getting harder and the increasing popularity of the S30z means it's only going to get harder. But maybe I just value S30z's different to everyone else, and so long as you guys undervalue them and want to sell parts cheap I'm happy to buy them lol..
  19. Just make sure it's fully insured also! http://thegarage.jalopnik.com/how-ups-screwed-a-popular-youtube-car-guy-out-of-10-00-1738255686
  20. It is definitely good publicity for the S30Z which seems to be increasing in popularity each year. I think that body kit will become outdated very quickly but for now at least it appeals to the PlayStation audience and it is also the first of its kind. It is also great to think you could build a car and have it featured in a video game.
  21. Yeah that's why a Kombi van restored is worth so much, it is the work involved that people don't realise..it does make HS30 00019 look OK though hehe.
  22. In a car as light as Ledge's 240z, I think it will be brown trousers time.
  23. More cars have been added to the first post with photos and details. By the way does anyone have Graham in WA's contact details? Can you PM me please? http://performanceforums.com/forums/showthread.php?67287865-Z-Build-11ty-billion/page2 I'd like to talk to him and see if I can get photos of the early cars he has and possibly confirm the numbers also.
