  1. Too many racing sims? LOL I dunno. There is no lane marks but I don't see why not? I mean it is a public road after all is it not?
  2. Thanks, here's to hoping around Christmas I can actually build a database not have to edit the first page of this thread . I just made some updates based on 24 Dat's feedback. Will look at the WA Zcars stuff soon also.
  3. So far I've had interest in the switch and console, so happy to split this lot up. Nobody wants the OEM head unit yet? I would have thought that would be the first go to..
  4. Please put a photo up of the fault you're talking about, I'm not sure what it is you're talking about, so hard to advise if this is indeed an issue or not?
  5. First post updated with more photos and cars yay! I'm surprised just how many early ones are coming to light. I thought we had a lot less if I'm honest. Although many are in a state of half finished restoration. @Ian / GongZ - 00036 are you sure it's a 36 and not a 33?
  6. Oh Kameari gauges and I see a skyline shift knob and calendar clock. Nice.
  7. Yep the value of an S30z is in the body (for the most part).
  8. Hi Everyone, I've got another 1 of these Grille's for sale, it's in very good shape except for a couple of photos showing minor issues, but overall 1 of the better grille's I've imported. It has slightly loose lower mounting brackets, but that seems to be a common issue with these and the corrosion on this 1 is very minor (just some minor surface rust). The clipped mesh sections near corners is also something I see on a lot of them, so I assume it's normal and not damage. I originally imported this for someone who was looking to get 1, but got impatient and bought another on eBay in need of a bit of work. Asking price: $400 + postage. (estimate ~$60 from Sydney -> Brisbane or Sydney -> Melbourne)
  9. Hi Everyone, I recently managed to get this console, sadly the console looks like it got damaged in transit which broke a couple of plastic tabs off each corner (the end that sits up under the dash). On the positive side the breaks are clean which means it could probably be repaired quite well and wouldn't be noticed once tucked under the dash and not in an area that is likely to see much stress and break again. Console: $100 Choke blanking plate. (out of late fuel injected Fairlady GS30) - This means no cracks around choke. I'll get rid of the cigarettes before shipping unfortunately this does mean the console smells of smoke. Since it has a rear ashtray I assume it's from a Fairlady Z 2/2 (GS31) Crack near rear mounting point also. The main reason I bought the console was for the OEM 260z Hitachi Head Unit. OEM Head Unit: $300 - I haven't tested it's working yet. It has the original wiring harness in tact, hasn't been butchered or cut... Antenna switch is included... Mounting brackets still present also. Model: Hitachi TM-751Z Parker Switch: $50 Loom of switch. I would rather sell it complete as it's easier and less hassle. So will sell the lost for $325 otherwise prices are indicated above. Postage is extra, but for the console it will be expensive....I should be at the Sydney meet next week so might be able to bring it for anyone interested? Just went on eBay to compare prices.. OEM head units. 1. Faceplate alone is $60 + postage from US. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-260z-280z-Radio-Stereo-Face-Plate-260-280-z-/291616107328 2. 280z radio. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-Nissan-280Z-AM-FM-Stereo-Radio-Fits-74-78-OEM-260Z-/291614464151 3. 260z/280z radio. $925 USD. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-Nissan-260Z-280Z-AM-FM-Radio-74-76-Stunning-Condition-OEM-Restored-240Z-/291609364265 4. 260z/280z radio. $675 USD. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-Nissan-280Z-AM-FM-Stereo-Radio-Fits-74-78-OEM-240Z-260Z-/252152836345 5. OEM (NOS) radio. $1075 USD. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-Nissan-260-280Z-AM-FM-Radio-74-76-Brand-NEW-Never-Used-OEM-240Z-/291609364270 If you look here: http://shaun-maluga.com/pauls-immaculate-260z/ You can see that Paul's original 260z AU market car had this head unit also.
  10. Some photos here. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/11264-safari-brown-i-mean-gold-the-nsw-project/page-13
  11. Wow I'm surprised the about the fitment issue. I would have thought it would be spot on. Are you sure it was a Fujitsubo system and not some knock off?
  12. Rev's build thread is here: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/12839-revs-new-zed/page-1 Rev this is a very selfless thing to do and for that I applaud you.
  13. I think the price was a whopping 14k AUD or there abouts....
  14. My guess is simple economics. You don't have to punch out the indicator cut out and you don't need to install the additional wiring loom piece globe and lens. Which the bean counters would have loved... I'm more curious why our market got unique fender mirrors? Or why the Portuguese were lucky enough to get magnesium alloys as standard.
  15. The ones that don't are 240z's, the ones that do are 260z's.
  16. Moved to members project journal section from general discussions.
  17. Innovative good idea.
  18. So you got the colour code sorted in the end?
  19. They should have head rests. See attached photos.
  20. PZR seats anyone? http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k202235832 Listed for a cool 480,000 YEN Not sure if replica's or genuine pair. These were also fitted to many of the rally cars of the period.
  21. Yep just spent some time looking it up. http://jalopnik.com/5713816/how-an-aussie-forum-war-ended-in-a-police-visit http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article.html?&A=0402&P=1 and for those not easily offended... http://performanceforums.com/forums/showthread.php?67261882-Powerchip-are-a-bunch-of-cunts But let's keep this on topic .
  22. So I spoke with Dalee again and he told me what we thought was #36 was actually #310. So HS30 00310 has been changed and HS30 00036 is still unknown.. This does however mean that HS30 00310 -> HS30 00319 were likely all 907 Green in colour though.
  23. Found this today. Posted here: https://www.carthrottle.com/post/w8g2xv3/
