  2. I have no idea what Alan is talking about George. Nothing to see here move along.. . Remind me next time we see each other (drive day etc..) to bring it with me?
  3. LOL I was gonna say rear wheel bearing kit also. Beaten to the punch. Can I grab this please? 240z Airbox bolts - $10.00
  4. Updated first page to include more cars. This is getting out of hand lol..
  5. So a bit more detective work here. Thanks to Carl Beck's page. http://www.zhome.com/IZCC/ZRegisters/classicHS.htm This car is likely to have a chassis number between: HS30 00063 (L24 011644) and HS30 00086 (L24 013104) *Edit and looking at WA Z Car register... http://www.wazregister.com/index.php?title=View_ANZIS30_Register HS30 00068 = L24 011483 HS30 00084 = L24 013021 HS30 0008X = L24 013045 HS30 00086 = L24 013104 So although motors can be fitted out of sequence there is a good chance it's between #84 and #86... This is why getting this info into a database will be so incredibly helpful....
  6. I'm sure whatever it is, it will be dodgy in some way. Or at least massively disingenuous...Would we expect anything else though?
  7. I'm a huge fan of the Kobe Seiko Magnesium wheels. Sadly they are super expensive and you need to x-ray them for potential cracks. I have heard of replica's being available but only get produced in short runs. I would like to buy some during the next run, but prepare for wallet shock. However I believe you can get the replica's in the KS Rally size. (Wider) They are similar to those fitted to the Toyota 2000GT and give a really good period look in my opinion.
  8. Sorry I missed this post, no I haven't tried to source parts. However I have a set of Triple Mikuni 44s so if I need parts I'll definitely give him a try.

  10. Ok boys and girls, riddle me this. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/12106-love-this-photo/?p=144115 This silver early 240z (901) has engine number. L24 013045 My Safari Gold Car (HS30 00150) has: L24 015253 HS30 00060 has: L24 011646 So that car must be between #60 and #150, the question is what number was it?
  11. Those number plates are something I'd probably try and forget also. I think Ian (GongZ) would be a close contender for the Z detective title also . The story you told me though got me thinking about the feature car and article. I thought it might have been Ben Ellis' 240z that had a 1JZ conversion, that car went to the UK a few years back, but I think it was a 71 240z. But my memory did recall any early 240z getting a Toyota engine swap, bit a shame the old L24 with webers was probably discarded. I do wonder what the cars fate was after the impound though! In terms of being a display car at the Melbourne car show, I think that's perhaps HS30 00063 ? http://collections.museumvictoria.com.au/items/800697 Although this description says 1971 and not 1970. #63 used to be Frank Guilfoyle's car. He ran DatZed in the 80s. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/12106-love-this-photo/?p=144116
  12. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/nissan/auction-992685538.htm Over on TradeMe $22,000
  13. This looks like an RB30 motor in it, but a cool replica all the same. *Edit and it's an RB20E from the looks of things.
  14. This car? http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article.html?&title=Zed-Sacrilege&A=109588 7MGTE - Have fun with those head gaskets lol... Looks like he was based in my area of Sydney too! I can't recall if I mentioned it earlier but Jack's car here: http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article.html?&title=Yella-Delight&A=108383 Is in the 4XX range I think, have to chase him up about that. Car hasn't been getting much use lately since Jack became a father.
  15. Great colour that car is .
  16. Sorry but if you ordered the foam insert from the US why do you need more foam? I assume you bought these? http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/40-2691
  17. Should you invest in classic cars? http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-08-14/stop-kidding-yourself-a-classic-car-is-almost-never-a-good-investment
  18. Old topic but relevant. http://www.macrobusiness.com.au/2015/12/why-aussies-pay-too-much-for-cars/
  19. If you ever get a chance to take photos of it please share! That would have been a quick restoration turn around on it, if it really is mint! Interesting that 308, 310 and 319 are all 907 Green. That seems to be the longest paint run in the same colour I can see so far with the data we've collected.
  20. Yeah you did well, geez, did you call and tell him it's sold over the phone? It was only live for an hour or 2 before it got pulled. If it's as good as the photos you got a bargain.
  21. Another good 1.
  22. It amazes me how much a 240z can sound like those old Ferrari's. I still watch this video from time to time (open exhaust so cheating, but that noise!)
  23. Niles clock. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=991970013 260z head unit. (8 track?) http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=990897788
