  1. I'm jelly, would love a set. How do you find the stopping power now?
  2. I agree with Alan from the photos I've seen, I don't see any funny business with this car. Just looks like a 73 240z HS30 to me.
  3. Cheap for a 2 seater. Those Mikunis are worth at least $2,500 on their own. Needs quite a bit of work though!
  4. Down near the Gong, looks like an L28 is still there. Could be a cheap L28 for someone. Fuel injection still there (mostly). Looks like a few older cars there too! Mostly 90s stuff in junk yards these days.
  5. Why do you think it's a 260z shell? Floor pressings look 240z to me, as does rad support?
  6. Aaron needs the inner section (as well as the outer section). Currently trying to get in contact with this seller.. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/pts/d/parting-out-72-datsun-240z/6548883588.html Craigslist is always sketchy however...
  7. Looks solid and blue is a rare colour for S30z's.
  8. Savanna RX-3 coupe for $85k https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/Mazda-RX-3-1977/SSE-AD-5365943/
  9. A few nice cars on Goo Net. PS30 - in Safari Gold. https://www.goo-net.com/usedcar/spread/goo/13/700954003530170621005.html 240ZG's https://www.goo-net.com/usedcar/spread/goo/19/700980003830170723001.html https://www.goo-net.com/usedcar/spread/goo/15/700060212630180309001.html https://www.goo-net.com/usedcar/spread/goo/10/700030357130170712001.html Interesting 2+2 with early tail lamps. https://www.goo-net.com/usedcar/spread/goo/13/700055083430180107007.html Fairlady 240Z (but not an L). 10. Worth more with barn find dust still on it.
  11. I was looking at their suspension for my FD RX-7 and feedback I've heard is fantastic compared to cheaper options (Tein etc..).. I like their philosophy and approach, but I don't know if they have done anything for S30Z's yet.
  12. Hi Folks, I just bought a job lot of SU carbs (240z style) that I plan to send to Ztherapy and have rebuilt. I just wanted to gauge interest from forum members, I suspect there is enough cores to make 4 maybe 5 complete sets. You do not need to provide a set of cores (unless you want to) so this is a good option for those who want a set of 240z SU's (260z owners perhaps?). Should have manifold, but balance tube is US style. But we can have it converted to AU spec (grind off unnecessary emissions brackets etc..) I don't have a price yet, but at a guess maybe around $1,200 a set (no air boxes). Note this is just a guide price and will be subject to change. I will need to speak with Z-Therapy once the carbs arrive and they can determine what is and is not there. Lots of people rave about these carbs once received. I will be opting for SM needles (suit L28 size bore) but if you have an L24 we can get needles to suit your engine displacement. Sample image below..(of Z-Therapy rebuilt set) Please note: Fuel rail and lower heat shields, airbox may not be available. Images below are the job lot I bought...
  13. Call Les Collins and or Lou Mondello or Lachlan (Lurch)... I believe they have an alternative.
  14. Ahh yes you're on the bookface. https://photos.app.goo.gl/6TcmUNpn2UsyEcFs1
  15. I don't think the process is expensive, but making sure you don't lose any of the pieces and putting it back together..
  16. Yellow passivate coating on those fasteners would make them look epic!
  17. I would love a Capitol Motors sticker since my white 240z came from there!
  18. For those that like old car photos of dealerships etc.. there is a Facebook group here (you need to join the group). https://www.facebook.com/groups/842236972535345/ Not much Nissan / Datsun content though..

  23. Looks like a solid car, good buying.
  24. You can elongate the mounting holes on the hood. I noticed they are smaller than the OEM ones so partially why it might sit further back toward the cowl than otherwise. For me personally though before I started to grind, bend, stretch anything etc.. I wanted to take measurements from another car and see how far out it is and then look at tweaking things to fit.
