Sirpent
been following this silently. So cool, you should just take it to a Nissan Dealer and have them park it on display next to a 370Z Great work
Fairlady Z
Had a privilege seeing this in person today. Its better than pics. Great car and great job.sure turns heads for the right reasons. Paul did a great job and having balls to do what he wanted. Lucky he bought it cause if he delayed one day that car would have been siting in my driveway and we would all missed out on Paul's vision. Here some pics and vid i took today when Paul visited me. And video here http://i1173.photobucket.com/albums/r590/FairladyZs30/Other/83201CA5-8FF3-4609-B36A-D827255003E0-2676-000002464CFBDF22_zpsf9acc947.mp4 Now to find a 2 seater with average paint at good price and do a wining safari rally version replica. PZG302
Again, that is one awesome bit of kit.... I would love to do something like that for racing, but the manual says no, so if a scrutineer didn't like it you wouldn't be able to play. luvemfast
Totally looks awesome! Are the Rota rims the best choice? They look a bit modern and new........ Also, should have done number 23. As in (2) Ni (3) San. Anyway, you could hoax the Internet a a barn find. Some one photoshop some oldschool racing pics to include it. But as everyone's already said. It's come up better than most ever anticipated. Love ya work
Ledge
Thanks guys, Rota's probably aren't the best option. But i had the rears sitting in the shed and got a good deal on the fronts, So why spend 3g on Wat's . Basically the only thing i had to buy for this project was 2 rotas, flares, wheel alignment. The rest was lying around the shed. I want to basically get stuck into my early resto so dint want to waste time and money on this being that is is just a part time car till other is done. I actually have a mate with an old wooden barn and we will be doing a vid soon. bit of fun. Cheers Paul
Moderators Zedman240® Posted January 7, 2013 Moderators Share Posted January 7, 2013 Would it be worth fitting an old Japanese type roll cage? The ones with the 2 bars coming down the center inside behind the seats.. Hoping you will bring it to the Nats.....
Ledge
Hi Funny story Was driving up my street and on one the right is a reserve that has another road running parallel to my street. Going in the opposite direction to me was some filth didn't take much notice, turned right than stopped at the T intersection that meets the road the filth were on. Look left, look right what do i see. A car doing 100+ in a 50 zone with fancy disco lights on the top. of coarse i figured out he was coming to chase the hoon driving his race car on the road. whilst his ABS was frantically pulsing to slow his commonhore down, the passenger points to the front of my car and it looked like he said "its got number plates" then they both nodded and kept going. So i turned right then left and left to visit a mate, the same filth mobile was coming the opposite way. i pulled into my mates driveway and they where both nodding with grins on there face. Ha Ha Thought i would share that Cheers Paul Dimitri, you may very well be happy
nizm0zed
that is awesome!!!! Has turned out really well, top effort! Now all it needs is the carbs richened up a bit, a free flowing exhaust and get it crackling nicely on the downshift, make it sound authentic of course, Mr Plod may not like that... acf321
Um Gareth, i think there is a better looking Zed sorry mate! The car is outrageously cool looking and totally unique. Now go over to Peter Mac's place to get him to stick a stonking donk in it. You'll have every car on the street in convulsions.
260DET
Hmmm, it's sort of all right, seen better (not Zeds) to be honest. Needs rust and more ageing that looks like ageing.
Ledge
Yeah man i didn't want bare metal and rusty metal exposed so maybe its not 100% spot on but it still looks fuckin tough on the road The motor is worked enough to make the right noises just got a small pipe on it soon to be upgraded. Reason for number ten is both my kids where born on tenth of the month, missus's idea, what do ya do. Cheers Paul

saxon
How did I miss this thread for so long, this looks sick!!!!!!!!!! I second everyone, well done for having the balls to do this, has really paid off. I reckon would be even better with no bumpers and 15 or 16" wheels. Ledge
Hi saxon, Glad you like the car. To be honest there are a few things that could be better like no bars etc but i used what i had available as i didnt want to throw money at this project. All in all though it turns heads and changed the minds of many who told me not to do it. Cheers Paul

luvemfast
I'm pretty sure that "Nay Sayer" isn't even Latin. But "I don't speak Spanish" (Surely someone gets that reference) Looking forwards to seeing it in the flesh.
