If you beleive that Peter should come back to our forum, please reply here.

His knowledge and willingness to help has been appreciated by many of us here and it would be a big shame that one small incident can escalate to someone feeling like leaving.

Come on Peter, come back.  We all want to see the results of your latest 3.4L build. ;)

Fair enough, I don't expect the details but the title of the thread makes it sound like he was 'forcefully' removed as opposed to 'chosen' to take a break.

I just feel a bit left out. :'(

Peter rocks.

Yes, TonyD and Peter got off to a bad start. But now they need to get a room.

IMHO tony was out of line, as he can be aggressive to new blood.

Everyone, everywhere should be given a chance to bring something to the table. Even if it's half assed in someone else's mind. It doesn't matter. They should be encouraged and welcomed. There have been a few who I thought were space cadets, but once you gave them a shot. Where good guys.

Aren't we all a bit misunderstood? I mean, we love Datsuns. That can't be normal!

Example above is a perfect example as to why this place is great. Personally I don't really think there is all that much flaming on this site (especially compared to other more popular "discussion" forums), but I guess it hits a bit closer to home when something like that happens here because the member base on this forum is quite small and fairly tight knit together. Which is only a good thing

Here I was thinking I had grown a second head or something!

I also don't know exactly what happened but it's easy to make someone angry when they put so much hard work into what they are doing:

Let's all get along, I've learned so much from reading your posts Pete. Happy to see you will still be posting!

Thanks for that link, was very interesting reading, Peter love your work and think it is great that you are sharing your work with the world, as an out-sider looking in on that thread I agree with what Tony had posted and good to see you both got over the chest puffing and got on with engine building, It takes special people to undertake the type of work you and Tony are doing, you both have the "Knack" ;D and you can see both personality will not back down on an issue that both know is right, there is no winning here, so you both have to agree that you disagree on it and move on, like you have, look forward to reading more of your work.

That Tony on HybridZ is not in the engine building business and I doubt that he has built many race engines at all. He does know a lot of relevant stuff but in my experience is so keen to show his knowledge that he rushes in missing the point sometimes and goes critical when it is irrelevant.

Another vote for bringing Peter back :)

Who....what....geez I don't visit for a week or 2 and look what happens. I won't get into details but we are all still learning about these cars and L6 engines even if you have been playing with L6 for years we can all still learn from each other :)

+1 to all you guys, it's amazing how the L series is still developing , but I don't know how they got 400 horses. Must be the US dynos, not saying they didn't get it ,but only in the US of A, keep on punching boys.
