Moderators Zedman240® Posted March 17, 2013 Moderators Posted March 17, 2013 I remember one of my rear wheel bearings had a harsh knocking on de-acceleration but fine every wheer else. Changed the bearings and now all you hear is the sack of door knobs which is the diff. Quote

C.A.R. Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Is it a new LSD? It might need running in... Also, check the wheel bearings! Quote
zzzzed Posted March 18, 2013 Author Posted March 18, 2013 No it's a second hand diff. But seeing it was doing it before I put this diff in. I am thinking it may be wheel bearings Quote
zzzzed Posted March 18, 2013 Author Posted March 18, 2013 Another thing is my rear pads are close to metal. I bought some new ones to put in just before I moved house. But they are lost in transit Quote
Retro Z Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 One of Roberto Greg and myself leaving the all Japan day Hey Mick have you got the full size version of this pic?. Would love to use it as my wallpapers on my computers. Quote

Ledge Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 They are doing one for me Mick, They work on a donation setup. I gave them 50 for this But without watermark etc, and high res Quote
zzzzed Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 I actually like it with the water mark Quote
Ledge Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I don't mind there logo along the bottom, But the faint water mark through the middle would bug me when blown up in a frame Quote
zzzzed Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 I have a set of fairlady stripes that I bought some time ago. I have been debating weather I should put them on my zed or not. I modeled them with some electrical tape I need your opinion. Yes or no? Quote
Riceburner Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I like the look now, clean and simple. Show off that awesome dead straight panel work. With the stickers it'll look very similar to 'knackers' RB track car Quote
zzzzed Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 That's a good point. We can't have them looking to much a like. Maybe I will just find some front guard badges and be done with it Quote

zzzzed Posted April 28, 2013 Author Posted April 28, 2013 I ended up fitting badges to my front guards. I think it's subtle enough and brakes up some of the yellow Quote

zzzzed Posted July 6, 2013 Author Posted July 6, 2013 Ok the car has been on the road for 6 months now and I must say, it is a barrel of laughs to drive. To much throttle can have you facing the wrong way rather fast. One problem I have is that when its cold it is rather sluggish and surge's quite a bit Once it has warmed up it is runs faultlessly and goes like a rocket. Can some one point me in the right direction as what to try first. I really don't want to have to chases tail on this one if I don't have to. I will be taking it for a run at collingrive hill climbs this weekend so I can see how it really performs. It should be a good day. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted July 6, 2013 Administrators Posted July 6, 2013 I think the stripes would work, but it needs to have some writing like Fairlady Z or Datsun 240z in between it. Straight lines don't work for me. I like the way mine says 240z for example, just enough to break it up and give it some purpose. If it was just straight lines I don't think it would look as nice. However I think maybe part of the problem is that with the flares it all looks a little bit busy. The badge you have now works well. Quote
zzzzed Posted July 6, 2013 Author Posted July 6, 2013 Yeh I have two sets of stripes with the fairlady writing on the front guard section. I bought them before my car was finished. One set will definitely go on the blue 2 seater. The other set I might sell. Quote
