:) well done guys looks like you all had an awesome time. Hopefully we can organise something up here but my backyard don't look like that!

If you need help promoting it on the front page of the site, just let me know. I can be a little slow making changes to the site at times so its good to let me know well in advance.

Hey guys,

I had a great time today.  Thanks to those that put it all together.

I just did a quick "auto-stitch" to see what the shots looked like together and here is the result.  I'll try to get together with Sulio this week and get something better up.

Cheers,

Matt

Of all the days I had to have a family thing I couldn't get out of! Looks like I missed that chance to be in that photo Matt! Oh well...maybe next time? (I hope) That 1 hour I had there wasn't enough but still enjoyed it. Good to see and meet several members. This has to be done again in the future.

Hi Guys,

I also had a ball. Gordo's place is just amazing. His got a garage that is every blokes fantasy with a hoist, TV area, a series of pics that show off his past Z cars and a very tasty 911 previously owned and still a second garage for body work!!  :o The grassy green we had our cars parked on was perfect with a large pergola that looked like it could easily be in a public park. Heaps of big shady trees for all the tables and chairs to sit under. Perfect weather...could'nt have asked for a better day. Great turn out. The idea of having name tags was great for those of us with bad memories. Good to meet up with so many people I have only spoke to on the forums til then.

We went for a spin afterwoulds and the group got split in two. The plan was to get out to the Black Spur pub for a drink and then head home. Craig and Lurch were in the first group and pulled over on a stretch of road near the base of the hills for others to catch up. I got a call from Lurch and advised we were about 5 minutes behind. I think everyone was surprised to see that once everyone had pulled over including the second group we had 18 or 19 cars up for a cruise. I think we were all pleasantly surprised. Anyhow we could see heavy rain had come across over the hills of the Spurr roads so we called it a day.

I'll catch up with Matt Drago and we'll go through all the pics. I'll also get the video footage from Ash and Gordo for a short flick of the day.

Thanks all for coming and making it such an enjoyable day!  :)

Think you guys should aim to make this an annual event. On one hand I'm really pleased with the fantastic turn out, on the other I'm disappointed I couldn't be there. There are so many Zeds and owners I haven't met just because of the way we have grown over the past year or so.

Sulio, we should put a small write up together for the front page and I'll place the youtube clip along with it.

Be great if Matt Drago can upload the pics to our event gallery also.

Might also be a good idea to take Gordon's address off the first page.

It is an awsome place, he is living the dream with the garages, acre's of land, toy cars and most importantly he has a trampoline dug into the ground. I've always wanted one of those.

Oh yeah, was a great day.

WOW..... What an awesome day we had. 26 Oold Zeds and 3 x 350Z's + a 300 and a GTR. We ended up with around 55-60 people all up. My only regret was that we didn't take a group photo of all the people. Damn. Apart from that the weather was perfect (well most of the time) and it was a great opportunity to meet everyone. Hopefully I met most of you. Gordon had a ball and the raffle of the 136 piece tool kit, Chrissy Chocies and 5 Nissan Clocks seemed to work well. We raised $60- profit towards the kitty for next year. It's a start.  ;)

When we went for that drive I wasn't sure how many we got till we stopped and waited at the Healesville turn off. 18 Zeds in a row. I couldn't beleive it. The day was a highlight for me as I had never seen that many Zeds in a row let alone a gathering of Zeds exclusively in such numbers. Gordon seemed pretty cool to make it an annual event so we might have to lock that one in for next years calander. I hope you all had as much fun as I did. Cheers    :D

When I told my other half that she missed out on an in ground trampoline, she swore that she will make it next year.

Perhaps we could convince RevZed to bring the jumping castle.

The other thing that occurred to me is that if some of us could volunteer to help Gordon with the property preparations in the week leading up to next years event. I should be living closer to Melbourne next year so I could put my hand up.

I think the beauty of having the get together at a private property like Gordons (rather than a park) is that we can all fell safe in leaving our most prized possessions (kids too) unattended and know that they wont get scratched or nicked.

Hi Matt,

You are exactly right. We were talking about that later. I could leave the kids to run around and not have to worry about them. Nor worry about stranges looking over our cars and wondering if they were in our group or not. At least you knew everyone there was from our group.  ;) Did we catch up Matt? Having travelled all that way mate I would be sorry if we wern't introduced. Unfortunately I can't remember. There were a number of new faces.

Yeah we met up, I was wearing a shirt with LEVIS emblazoned across it. My avatar may be confusing you, I bought my daily driver which is memorable for it's dented panel.

I think I met everyone at least briefly.

Ahh now I remember talking to you. Well done on the 3hour round trip. Awesome effort. Probably worth it given the rare turn out.

What a great day out ;D... Thanks to everyone who helped organize the event hopefully we can make this an annual event. Cant wait for the other photos to come out and the videos aswell.

If it isnt too much trouble can video files be uploaded to a site like rapidshare not just youtube...would love a good quality video.

Cheers

I can only repeat what everyone else has said, great day and thanks to Craig, Sulio and Gordon for the organisation.

I was wondering if anyone would object to a little publicity. I wrote a short story of the day and the club and attached some photos with a view to sending it to Australian Classic Car Magazine to  see if they would include it their News and Events section in an upcoming edition.

It's ready to hit the send button but just wanted to check I was not going to step on anyone's toes or offend anyone if it happened to get published and their car appeared in the magazine.

Any quick comments?

Warren
