Certainly looks good in the photo's.

Me wonders what may be hiding under the shiny new paint  ::)

I can see rust bubbles on the sugar scoops.

The last car i saw with rust in the sugar scoops was George's, and look what the rest of the car was like!  Just saying if you got it sandblasted i bet you could take it home in a box trailer.

I think that car was for sale not that long ago, the 1/4 windows are covered and welded shut. Weird is a polite way of describing it.

So modified yet it has the OEM original and hard to find 5 speed gear knob :(.

Green 240z is gone. I was good as the new owner and the seller back flipped on me and sold it to her daughter  >:(

Ahh well, you've got more Zeds than me. Can't own them all. Gotta have somewhere to store them ;).

Why don't you buy the early red 1 with the custom tail lights LOL...?

I actually don't think it would take much more effort than restoring any other 240z properly. You could just source the quarter panels again and reconstruct the rear beaver panel correctly or get it off a donor that someone cuts up.

But the bigger question is what's under that paint?

Considering it's narrow appeal I think it's over-priced because it will probably only appeal to someone looking to do a full restoration or 'horror of horrors' convert to a Ferrari Replica...

It's mostly just body kit that will unbolt. Those 300ZX taillight might be a different story as Gav said.

Asking ~ $30,000 + AU.

I believe in the late 80s / early 90s we lost some of our 'better cars' as some Japanese bought them at their bargain prices (a good Z in the 90s wasn't worth all that much) and sent them back to Japan. I've heard the rumor a couple of times. Not sure how much truth there is to it, but I know of at least a few HS30's that went to Japan so maybe there is some truth in it?

Anyway looks like a clean little unit - might even be worth importing for someone looking at an original car.

Note: Looks like it still has the AU compliance plate in the engine bay - but can't be certain.
