NSW registration look up for ECC 111 returns.

1973 GREY DATSUN 240Z SEDAN

VIN/chassis: xxxxxxxxxxxxx0997

So I think it's HS30-100997

The current listing confirms the chassis no.     HS30 100997
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/273371117107?_trksid=p2471758.m4704

Hard to know what to make of this listing / ad / seller. Maybe they just are being a difficult seller and perhaps someone flagged the ad the first time around with eBay who removed it and then now they have listed it again under a new user to get around that?

Bids certainly look like longer term eBay users (with multiple feedback items).

Yea, also states its listed elsewhere. Not on carsales or gumtree though.

Not sure what to make of this seller.

I just realised I have those same $20 optional mudflaps on my white 71 240z.

That's about $227 in today's money.

They should put the front blinkers back on top of the bumper and sneak it up to $65K.

@GongZ Ian, did the 73 come with both bumper signals and lower valance?

Thinking of putting the signals on the top of the bumper on my 73 and using the valance as fog lights. would this be correct?

The lights in the valance section on 73's were parking lights (only). You could use headlights with built-in parking light globes if you wanted to do do that.

@GongZ so should the valance lenses be clear or yellow?

Very off topic, sorry guys.

Man I was in Picton today should have seen this beforehand could have taken some pictures and put them up. Add says no tags

I don't think it's in Picton yet, I think it's still in Northern NSW.

No tags is ok, can get the DATSUN plate remade, the chassis no. is important bit. Depending on year you may need a compliance plate also.

Wonder if it has the original L24 still?

Unregistered, ideal project car. L28E engine. Has some rust in sills and some in the roof (doesn't leak). Has been on axle stands for the past 14 years, put back on wheels to move around shed. Engine was rebuilt but not put back in car (ran fine, just needed to re seal), has an automatic that ran flawlessly before taking off the road. Everything to get the car going is there. Will swap for a LAMS approved cruiser (EFI 650 Hyosung), 4WD parts (full turbo kit to suit TD42, 37-40" mud tyres and rims), or WHY. Also will sell for the right price.
