It's unfortunate the Japanese were not into rust treatment back then. Any car with that much visible rust will probably have twice as much out of sight. 

In Zeds, Always check the gutter above the door passengers side, when parked on a street  all the condensation in the roof runs to there-and gets trapped.(until it makes holes to escape)

I think it goes without saying that on any S30Z, check everywhere for RUST!

I quite like the white S30Z on eBay right now, I think it's pretty honest. Looks very straight (no major front or rear end hit as far as I can tell *from photos) and still has it's original radio etc.. so likely been left alone most of it's life. Just tired and in need of some rust repair work.

I always regard rust as cancer, you may be able to put it in remission, but it will still be there lurking.

"240z with rb30 and skline box. Was being prepared as a street/track car by my son who is now permanaetly overseas. Complete and running but not fully assembled. Straight car, had floors replaced, half cage, bolt in race seats (originals available) clip off steering wheel (original available) Upgraded brakes, discs all round. R200 diff. 16 x 8 superlites. Mostly interior to complete but all there. Has not run for a few years and brakes need to be bled."

Regretful sale of our much loved weekend cruiser.
Have original Registration papers, Warranty and Service Booklet and Owners Manual.
Restored and customized 1985 when it was fitted with an L28 engine,extractors, 2.5 inch exhaust system, MDS ignition system, G Nose bodykit, Kings coil over suspension, remote rear hatch and fuel cover release, SAAS front seats and steering wheel and genuine 16 inch Simmons rims.
I have owned my Z since 2000.
Had a complete engine rebuild in 2013 at 60409 km. That equates to less than 10000km in the 5 years since rebuild.
This year had the gear stick bushes replaced, new univeral joints and tail shaft, rebuilt rack and pinion with rod ends, lower control arm bushes and radius rod bushes.
Interior is in good condition apart from a small tear in the drivers seat and a corrosion mark on the Tacho dial face.
Exterior panels are straight but with minimal rust and small car park dents.
It is in need a paint job.
A/C is a modern type compressor but needs a regas.

Looks like a "whale tail" which was popular in the 90s. Similar to the bird bath spoilers of the 80s found on many RX-7's.
