Yeah I know, my ash-tray lid is missing the handle part, but I'm thinking about using blu-tac to create a mould and then using fiberglass resin or even melted ABS plastic to create the handle itself and just epoxy gluing it all together. Then spray it all black (using that Duplicolour stuff I used on rest of the console) and bob's your tea pot. I can't see myself spending $300+ for an ash-tray.

Knowing my luck though I'll go to all that effort to create a good enough replacement and then someone will list a good second hand 1 on eBay for a decent price a week later.

Like I say, bring on the 3D printers :).

Sort of surprised by the price of this:

Big Nissan valve cover going for $300 AU+ at the moment. I have 1 of these covers, didn't think it was worth that much! Bidding hasn't finished either.

Also anyone want a Rally Clock? This is the later type without the oscillator box*

* I think.. do your own research...last 1 went for nearly $400 AU and had the oscillator box (was an earlier type).

Finally a relatively complete early console. - Although the switches look non-OEM.

With the way prices have been of recent nothing surprises me anymore  :o

Thanks for spotting that Gav, hopefully I'll end up with this for the '77.

And hopefully it actually works...

Even if it doesn't I was thinking of getting the original faceplate for a 240z 1 (HItachi unit) and then somehow putting a vintage sound system behind it like this:

I just want the look of the original, not so much the technology lol..
