Sorry Gav, but has anybody ever purchased anything from an online Japanese store?

 

I find it quite intimidating to access a website with only native transcript and making a purchase/transaction...

 

I have been receiving a lot of updates on this thread with Japanese auctions and quite frankly I'm not so sure anybody's confident enough to make direct purchases from these sites.

Hi mate, I suspect you are correct and that many members feel this way..

or even Jesse Streeter

 

all provide middle man services where they buy the item on your behalf and have it shipped to their place of business (you may have to pay upfront).

You then pay a nominal* fee for them to ship it to you insured etc..

 

*depends on the item really - but it could be a higher fee.

 

I've not actually used any of these services myself, but I know of at least 1 member who used buyee.jp with success to purchase a rally clock for their Z.

Quite a few members have used Jesse Streeter as a go-between also.

 

I was also thinking of buying some parts and bringing them in for onward sale - but I'd have to add a fee myself for time shipping etc...so not sure about that yet.

I personally cannot say enough about Jesse Streeter. He is fantastic to deal with and makes everything very easy.

 

Email him with a link saying you want to buy it and give him a postcode and he will work everything out for you.

I bought OER's direct from Japan, from a Japanese online store.

They were patient, courteous, knowledgeable and very easy to deal with.

I wish the same could be said of the likes of the automotive chains in this country!
