I walked into that 1 huh?

Well I ordered this gear knob just now.

I was also really tempted by this 1.

I fired off an email here: http://www.classiccapsule.com/self-adhesive-resin-domed-wheel-centre-badge-set---any-size-up-to-60mm-diameter-for-any-classic-car-155-p.asp to see if they can replicate the 5 speed button. I might get a bunch made up if there is interest?

Expressing interest in the 5sp button :) I've got the original knob but it's missing the button. A little uncomfortable to drive with as well!

Hi Gav,

Has anyone here bought anything off buyee? Would you need to get someone like Jesse streeter to ship bigger stuff? Keep an eye on the Kobe Seiko wheels, I am still chasing a set of the works wheels as used on the factory circuit cars - 15 x 10 and 15 x 12.5

Cheers

I have used Jesse Streeter yes. But you'll need to add cost of sending to Jesse then cost to send onto you plus Jesse's fee.

Those Kobe Seiko wheels are rare. Although I think I've seen the wheels you're talking about but never more than 1 listed.

A fair point. I don't always post what I find interesting haha. Especially if I've already collected that part.

Just the other day I missed out on a Fairlady Grille...so it doesn't always work out for me

Hi Gav,

Yep that is the style I am after. I suspect that is a Watanabe replica as they do them in 9 and 9.5. Originals were 10J and 12.5J. You are right in that they are exceedingly hard to find, I wish I knew how to speak Japanese at times! If I can't find originals I may have to settle for a measly 9.5" ;D I imagine that there were only around 50-100 sets made originally, some of which were destroyed in racing.

Cheers

I was tempted to have a punt for these...

which might be a give-away as to what direction I want my build to take. But it got a bit rich for me at this stage. I am also told it wasn't quite 100% accurate as a replica and they may not be very comfortable. So I'd like to see what a set is like before committing to them. However I think they look awesome in the Z432-Rs.

Nice find. Sounds like you're going for the right direction!

I'm really loving the sports-option, period mods, kinda hot-rod feel which seems to be getting popular.

Yeah same here, I would like to go for a bit of a 432-R Tribute as opposed to Replica. To really do a replica I'd need an S20 motor to slot into it. But that overall sort of look is where I'd like to go.

I saw an RB20 N/A with plug leads and remote mounted coil packs. Tribute engine?

Grey crinkle coat the rocker covers, run FJ20 plug leads and fab a cover for the middle that they push into done!
