Administrators gav240z Posted May 27, 2014 Administrators Posted May 27, 2014 I walked into that 1 huh? Well I ordered this gear knob just now. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390845237407 I was also really tempted by this 1. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Datsun-Nissan-Nos-Gear-Knob-240Z-1600-Sss-1200-1000-120Y-Sunny-Jdm-Gx-/191021606011 I fired off an email here: http://www.classiccapsule.com/self-adhesive-resin-domed-wheel-centre-badge-set---any-size-up-to-60mm-diameter-for-any-classic-car-155-p.asp to see if they can replicate the 5 speed button. I might get a bunch made up if there is interest? Quote
adam Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Expressing interest in the 5sp button I've got the original knob but it's missing the button. A little uncomfortable to drive with as well! Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted May 27, 2014 Administrators Posted May 27, 2014 Well the guy I contacted said he doesn't do them as it doesn't bring in enough bacon...my words not his.. I will do more research once mine arrives I can scan it and measure the size up etc.. Quote
phillay Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 i travel to Uk often for work so I always stalk ebay UK for datsun parts saw this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NOS-NISSAN-DATSUN-WING-MIRROR-240Z-370Z-S30-B210-SUNNY-ETC-/291156919704?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item43ca4e0598 but the seller doesn't have the other side and it doesn't have a part number, the mirror itself is actually round. Administrators gav240z Posted June 6, 2014 Administrators Posted June 6, 2014 Not sure, but I think this might be the ignition barrel for a Z432-R that goes in the transmission tunnel instead of near the steering column? http://www.buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/g139288427 Price seems to indicate it's special. Brabham Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Hi Gav, Has anyone here bought anything off buyee? Would you need to get someone like Jesse streeter to ship bigger stuff? Keep an eye on the Kobe Seiko wheels, I am still chasing a set of the works wheels as used on the factory circuit cars - 15 x 10 and 15 x 12.5 Cheers Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted June 6, 2014 Administrators Posted June 6, 2014 I have used Jesse Streeter yes. But you'll need to add cost of sending to Jesse then cost to send onto you plus Jesse's fee. Those Kobe Seiko wheels are rare. Although I think I've seen the wheels you're talking about but never more than 1 listed. Quote

d3c0y Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Dude how is anyone supposed to grab a bargain with your world wide zed catalog?? Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted June 7, 2014 Administrators Posted June 7, 2014 A fair point. I don't always post what I find interesting haha. Especially if I've already collected that part. Just the other day I missed out on a Fairlady Grille...so it doesn't always work out for me Quote
Brabham Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Hi Gav, Yep that is the style I am after. I suspect that is a Watanabe replica as they do them in 9 and 9.5. Originals were 10J and 12.5J. You are right in that they are exceedingly hard to find, I wish I knew how to speak Japanese at times! If I can't find originals I may have to settle for a measly 9.5" I imagine that there were only around 50-100 sets made originally, some of which were destroyed in racing. Cheers Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted June 22, 2014 Administrators Posted June 22, 2014 I was tempted to have a punt for these... http://www.buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/u66283980 http://www.buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/g140960309 which might be a give-away as to what direction I want my build to take. But it got a bit rich for me at this stage. I am also told it wasn't quite 100% accurate as a replica and they may not be very comfortable. So I'd like to see what a set is like before committing to them. However I think they look awesome in the Z432-Rs. Quote

I'm really loving the sports-option, period mods, kinda hot-rod feel which seems to be getting popular. Yeah same here, I would like to go for a bit of a 432-R Tribute as opposed to Replica. To really do a replica I'd need an S20 motor to slot into it. But that overall sort of look is where I'd like to go. Quote
d3c0y Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I saw an RB20 N/A with plug leads and remote mounted coil packs. Tribute engine? Quote
