Administrators gav240z Posted March 24, 2016 Administrators Posted March 24, 2016 It looks incredible, what kind of reaction do you get when driving it? I'd imagine it turns quite a few heads. scott 1 Quote
CBR Jeff Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 It looks very very nice. Greta job. Bet you get lots of offers to take here of your hands!!!! Jeff Quote
Cozza Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Wow, great looking K. They are not my favourite car but your one looks impressive. It's been completed to such a high quality which makes all the difference. Out of interest how was the camera fixed to the car? It seems to move about in relation to the body. I guess you had a midget on a skateboard holding on to the bumper. Quote
260DET Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Takes a bit to get me excited about anything other than a Zed but this does it. Much more than a 'restore and bolt on the goodies' job, great work and it shows Quote
scott Posted March 27, 2016 Author Posted March 27, 2016 Beautiful, love your attention to detail. thanks i want to do these old cars justice. It looks incredible, what kind of reaction do you get when driving it? I'd imagine it turns quite a few heads. Many broken necks haha. Administrators gav240z Posted March 30, 2016 Administrators Posted March 30, 2016 Scott I hope you won't take this the wrong way, but your valve cover lets down your whole engine bay. Is there some kind of ironic reason why everything else was water blasted and cleaned and re-zinc'd but you left the valve cover looking like that? I just think water blasting it would lift the appearance of the whole engine bay. Quote
scott Posted March 31, 2016 Author Posted March 31, 2016 Was unsure what i wanted out of the cover Gav. I do have a few spare so will get one blasted down the track but i do have something on order from Japan which should be turning up soon, just arrived at my sister's place and she'll send it over with some other stuff i had to leave behind gav240z 1 Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted March 31, 2016 Administrators Posted March 31, 2016 Fair enough, it just seemed odd to me that you went to so much effort and attention to detail and yet that valve cover looked like it did when you started . Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted June 14, 2016 Administrators Posted June 14, 2016 Hey Scott, So is that 120HP at the wheel out of the L24 with Triple Mikuni's on it? I also went to the website I spotted in your photo. http://www.vintagecraft-e-za.com/ Looks like you bought a jetting kit that comes with tools etc..is that right? Kakimoto valve cover looks nice. scott Posted June 14, 2016 Author Posted June 14, 2016 Cheers scottyB Gav, it made 120hp one 3 screw Su's im currently running. He reckons there is another 10/15hp to be made if i richin it(afr seem fine to me) up but i think my stock headers are holding it back. Wanting to find some 34mm chokes for the mikuni's as i decided i want to run them on the L24 now till i sort a 28 build. And yes i bought them. He sells them from yahoo as well. http://www.vintagecraft-e-za.com/%E8%B2%A9%E5%A3%B2%E3%81%AE%E3%83%9A%E3%83%BC%E3%82%B8/%E3%82%AD%E3%83%A3%E3%83%96%E9%96%A2%E9%80%A3/ Need to get a new jet one as i already broke it so will order 2 and just make sure to loosen them up first as one was fine and the other was way to tight. gav240z 1 Quote
