  1. Try going straight to PHP 7.3 if possible, 7.1/.2/.3 each have a pretty worthwhile performance boost over the previous. Are you going to be moving the homepage into the Invision CMS?
  2. Not how i'd modify an S30, but nicely done car and video. I recall there being a white Fairlady Z for sale on Yahoo Japan with very similar swap and modifications a few months ago?
  3. I believe it's a members car and was posted by him in this thread earlier:
  4. At 75k pounds it's in MZR price range, which would be a much fairer comparison to a Singer!
  5. Not to my taste, but TopGear Magazine have covered a 280Z modified by a Bulgarian tuner. https://www.topgear.com/car-news/classic/datsun-280z-has-been-completely-restored-glory
  6. Does anyone else cringe when people copy what Dave Scholz said in his Petrolicious video near word for word? Seen this a few times now.
  7. This colour looks a bit familiar!
  8. Looks like it has the tail lights + surrounding parts from a GS30 (2+2)?
  9. I watched this video a little while ago, and don't really understand his point. Special editions of contemporary cars are far from classic, maybe future classics at best. A glut of such cars isn't going to affect cars that are already classics.
  10. I think Hunter was talking about the OER ITBs rather than the carbs! I have no experience with any ITBs, but have you looked at the Jenvey Heritages? They look like DCOEs so appear almost period correct.
  11. How are you planning on ditching Drupal? Remaking the site in IPS/similar? I've never really worked with Drupal, but there should be a way to convert the site into a static page. Could be a good interim measure until you convert to IPS, so you don't need to worry about upgrades, security issues etc. and it'd be faster. https://www.drupal.org/project/static By the way, there is an issue with the redirect after donating: Software error: Can't find string terminator "]" anywhere before EOF at paymentprocessing.cgi line 131.
  12. I guess it's based on user group/ Gav (admin) has an East Africa Safari Rally car, you have a 432, donators have a 240ZG and the rest of us have regular silver S30s lol.
  13. You can get free SSL certificates from here: https://letsencrypt.org/ Not sure if they've backed down, but I believe Google were using it in the PageRank algorithm before, so it's got a lot going for it haha. (better page rank, doesnt get flagged in chrome/firefox as insecure, not sending login details unencrypted)
  14. Mobile interface is good! Web one should look good too once the theme is altered. Looks like it's still building the search index, so can't view unread content for example? Any plans to add SSL by the way?
  15. You can get these ones on eBay and a few other places. https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/GET-THAT-DATSUN-DIFFERENCE-x3-Stickers-260z-280zx-A15-/201477904076 http://www.streetfx.com.au/product/get-that-datsun-difference-stickers-set-of-3/ Edit: Replied too early, doesn't hurt having a few more sources though
  16. Looks like there is a copycat build of this car haha! Front end just doesn't look quite right (among other things)
  17. I think it doesn't help that a lot of people think 2+2 when hearing 260Z, and all of the confusing US content about 260Zs. Despite owning an early RS30, I don't personally think the rarity is very special - early girls are special because they are rare AND the first S30s. An early RS30 is just somewhere between a 73 240Z (common) and later 260Z 2 seater (also common, relatively). But i've also never understood why the US market (for example) is so obsessed over the rarity of certain obscure configurations of cars, so maybe one day the rarity will be recognised. It would be cool to know around what VIN number RS30s stopped being "early" though.
  18. Just realised that my copy has "Machine" spelled correctly haha, same magazine though. According to this site, it's a part 2 covering carburetors - which makes sense given some of the articles. There's a part 1 too from a few years ago, i'd like to get one too but the ebay sellers are charging a lot. http://www.jdmwhat.com/blog/the-best-240z-magazine/ It seems some of the little bits are recylced, i.e. in the first photo on that site you can see they are showing the difference between early girls, later 240Zs and 260Zs. Plus some bits later showing the tail lights. Those same photos appeared in different articles (or at least newly formatted pages/different other photos) in part 2.
  19. Spotted and bought this magazine at Books Kinokuniya near Town Hall today, seems to be a compilation of S30/S31 Fairlady Zs featured in the "G-Works" magazine. Many cool pictures of modified Zs (L31 strokers, LY heads, TC24, S20s, HKS turbo setups, RB swaps), a lot of familiar cars from YouTube. Also has some articles on Weber vs Solex, Dellortos, the various differences between year models and specifications + engines and a lot more which I unfortunately can't read. Plus a heap of different Watanabe R-Types (with specs) on the various featured cars.
  20. Nice car. Glad to see the tail lights weren't backdated! Funny reading him talk for a whole paragraph about liking the stock/original front end when it has a type 1 ducted air dam (or is that just the MSA name for them?) though.
  21. Those VinWiki (in particular Ed Bolian) stories are great.
  22. Yeah, not a 1974 car even though some things have been backdated. Has an S31 chassis code, no diamond pattern vinyl, late model Niles rally clock etc. The ad even says the build date is december 1976.
  23. In depth look at the Gas Monkey 2+2:
  24. Caught on dashcam by my dad, and saw it at WTAC today.
  25. PM sent
