  1. Hi Great choice of rim size. You could fit 225/50 on that rim size as well, but clearence becomes an issue. I currently have 15X8 - 0 with 225/50/15 all round. I will probably be changing to 205/50/15 on front when I next change tyres.
  2. Too funny, from a time when things were simplier. Now days I could see someone interpreting that as saying it is safe to drive 110MPH. Pretty sure that these days the sticker would say something like sustained high speed operation.
  3. Hi I will be driving the Landbarge from Bris (Redcliff) to Sydney in mid July - could transport the head if that would help. Cheers PB
  4. Hi The car Curtis is selling is indeed good value, especially given it is an “Early Girl” Given you are not fussed on the 240 v 260 thing nor on matching numbers there is no need to pay a premium for : - 240Z - Earyl Girl - Matching numbers All to often we see posts from folks looking for cars, but wanting it now and all but drooped in their lap. If you are willing to wait, but be ready be ready to act quickly a good, non matching 260Z will come up for sale and will most likley represent much better value to you. I cannot over state the importance of “DO NOT HESITATE” when a car comes along. The good cars sell very very quickly - sometimes within hours. A return airfare to ost capital cities is not overly expensive in the grand scheme of things. I have saved a significant amount of money on one of cars (not a Z) by be willing to travel a little to find the car. Flight and 3 hr return drive this was still only a day trip, but saved about $7,000 on what similar cars were commanding in Sydney meto. Cheers PB
  5. Not sure I agree with that. The wiring inside the guage could be different, intended for a +/- 45 range. Putting +/- 60A through it may not do it any favours. Cheers PB
  6. Hi I would put the original L24 under the bench and replace it with an L28. As previous posts have said, more bang for your buck with L28 + keep the L24 close to stock for originality’s sake. Cheers PB
  7. Agree with Andy, looks like the wheel from a Sunny B310 (and possibly others)
  8. Just pop the rear cover off and have a look, that will tell you plenty Open, LSD or Welded Ratio Cheers
  9. Looks good, bet you can’t wait to get it back on the road. Cheers PB
  10. Good luck, certainly a significant piece of work. Personally I don’t think everyone fully apreciates just how much effort you put in behind the scenes to keep the site running. I am sure everyone in this community will understand if you hit a few bumps during the upgrade. Look forward to seeing the enhancements Cheers PB
  11. That was a great comment, the hard truth is always great
  12. Hi Just remembered there was a poll about this a few years back. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/13752-how-many-times-do-you-visit-this-site/
  13. Hi I don't think the MCM guys need to open their wallets too much these days Cheers PB
  14. Yeah, was a never a fan of Mike's staged negotiations and attempts at spanner work. Would love to see Ed take on a restro, Sort of like what Kurt Bergsma did with the 300 SEL 6.3 Benz. Lots of videos, each one attacking a different problem
  15. Very nice plate. I was waiting to see if that combination would pop up on the forum. I was starting to wonder if the MCM boys had grabbed them for their car.
  16. Hi I recall a thread a while back that discussed heated front screens. Can't find it now. I am not in the market as my AC & heater takes care of that. I could possibly be interested in a rear screen (2+2), but am assuming you are talking 2 seater ? cheers PB
  17. I had a DC Red VL Calais Turbo in early 90's. Wound up the boost, but it had a habit of destroying Jatco gearboxes. VERY fast car back then.
  18. Hi Youhan For me, outside of responding to messages and notifications usually twice a day. - Around midday give or take - During the evening with a beer or a glass of red. I do read pretty much every post, but only comment on occasions. Cheers PB
  19. Hi Gav That rubber strip is a local dealer added extra that was very popular in the 70’s and early 80’s Sold off a roll with adheasive backing, usually at very high profit. From memory made by 3M. Commonly called “Protection Strips” Cheers PB
  20. I tried my local Nissan dealer once - they directed me to Warren at AllZparts. Funny to notice that they lost the Nissan franchise recently.
  21. Hi I had a look through my old bolts bucket and couldn’t find any of the “D” headed bolt sets. I would of had some from the 280ZX that I used for the running gear in the bus. Those bolts are either still in the pinion flange of the diff, or in the tailshaft flange. I know I have tailshaft somewhere, but couldn’t find it last night. Will have another look later in the week when I get back home again. Cheers PB
  22. OK, I know the ones. Will have a dig through the bucket and see if I have any. Cheers
  23. Likewise, I am pretty sure I would have some, and possibly in my “bucket” full of used bolts and other small bits. Finding the exact bolts - pretty much impossible.
  24. Hi So are you saying the float chamber is empty, or just low ? Is the float gap within spec ? Cheers PB
  25. Hi Linus The adjustment for float level is in inside the float chamber. Take the lid off and make sure that the float actually floats before changing anything else. In regard to setting the level, hit up Google for the specs. Cheers PB
