  1. Hi Welcome Alexander, that is a nice looking Z. 10,000kms a year, that has got to be one of the most driven Z’s around these days. I am tempted to start a thread about ”How miles does your Z do” but it would deprress me - mine only does a couple of thousand every year. Cheers PB
  2. Early Girl Speedo & Tacho https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Datsun-240Z-Tacho-8000rpm-Speedo-160mph-Orig-1970s-VGC/323313039102?hash=item4b46f576fe:g:0OAAAOSwtTJZ2LqN
  3. I recall that you have used that before, when referring to Champagne Gold BMW Convertible.
  4. That is a great picture and would be great for promoting the next Vic based event.
  5. Very very tidy and original ? Looking car. given what restored early cars have been fetching I would have to say that the starting price is appropriate.
  6. Haha, and Gav’s collection is lacking a 1973 model, but you knew that.
  7. Agree, definately comes down to being responsible with the power/speed at your disposal. Back in the 90’s I had a pretty well sorted KE20 Corolla, 1500cc 5 Speed etc. It maxed out at about 150KM/H as it still had the original diff ratio. It was just so much fun on the twisty stuff and when pushed to its absolute limit was unlikey to get you arrested. The Calias Turbo I replaced it with was a very different story.
  8. Nah, have been well behaved, most of the time
  9. Just sayin’
  10. Haha, just love all this “geuine” stuff. OEM at best, but if EOM it would have definately not have the RH #. ”made the same manufacturer as OEM” doesn”t sound like the vendor understands the different terms OE, Genuine, OEM, Grey, Reproduction, Aftermarket etc.
  11. Hi Rudi That looks amazing - a real credit to you. Cheers PB
  12. Great video with brilliant production quality. I had never heard of a H16 engine. Thanks for posting PB
  13. Cool, never really played around with compression or any image software. Will have a play with it over the weekend and see if I can reduce the image size to something more reasonable.
  14. What he said ^, I am planning on getting the rears on the changed from 15X8 -0 to 15X8.5 -12. Currently they need spacers to fill the guards and one of them has a very slight buckle in it.
  15. Hi I didn’t realise you could do that. I cropped my photo to make it the appropriate shape for banner and it looks good. It is 1.3m so I will have a play with compression later on.
  16. Thanks, Likewise I have had a great experience with Shannons. I also had a terrible experience with another company over the same incident. Cheers PB
  17. Cograts to both you and your wife George. That is such a beautiful photo. Cheers PB
  18. Understand. Good used 2+2’s do come along from time to time & Colour can be changed. IF you don’t mind me asking, were you insured and if so. - Who with - How was the claims experience. we have plenty of questions about Z insurance, but (fortunately) limited experience with claim. Cheers PB
  19. Really sorry to what happened, I had heard a rumour but was hoping it was only a mnor scratch. Good luck finding a replacement, good cars are around but getting harder to find - are you looking for another Z or something else ?
  20. I also will wait for it to come to Youtube. Have survived without Foxtell thus far.
  21. Hi Being genuine Datsun steel from the 70’s does it come genuine factory rust ?
  22. Yeah, Al is very humble, achieves some very clever, well thought out & skillful and outcomes but talks as though it is nothing special.
  23. Hi Yes it is Chris’s car. He has recently left Toyota and started his own business - Classic Autosport in Kirrawee NSW - they are on Facebook. It is a great car and still has a tacho in the dash on the passengers side (in the camera view)
  24. Hi Thanks for providing such a clear description. A work mate owns the Toyota Celica that was one of the first “Race Cam” cars used at the Bathurst 1000, it is not made of 100% original parts but the lineage is very clear and well documented. It is a regular at Muscle Car Masters and Historic events. Chris has always described it as Authentic.
