  1. Absolutely - that is why we have the WOVR (Written Off Vehicle Register) it prevents people buying wrecks and using the VINS. It is also why people should not publish details of the VIN for “Project Cars” - they are legit VINs that are not in use. in the ideal world the WOVR would be global and would be also be coupled to a global version of the Veda CarHistory DB (mileage) we could greatly reduce cross border re-births and clocking. Yes I am dreamin' , but how good would that be ? Chers PB
  2. Would be Illegal to sell in AUS.
  3. Hi I would offer to help, but to be honest I only understand one or two of the items on the list.
  4. Thanks, looks like a good turnout. I am disappointed to have missed it.
  5. Hi Lowering your car will make an amazing difference to how those fronts look, I reckon they will look great. Once it is done, post up a few photos.
  6. Yes, 225/50/15 on the front occasionaly scrub on the valance, usually when reversing into my driveway - the ramp angle is all wrong.
  7. Hi 215s on the front is a good idea, I will be going to that size when I need new tyres. Am also looking around for a pair 15X4.5 Outers for back rims, this would take the back rims out to 15X8.5 -12. I could then loose the spacers. Cheers PB
  8. The only drama was that the A/C decided to call it quits.
  9. Hi Yes still running the same Kings setup. Comfort is fine. I am now running 225/50X15 Tyres (15X8 -0) and it sits really well. I had a small issue with scrubbing on front valance and have fitted 12mm spacer on the rear. I have done a few long trips, Syd - Melb & Syd - Tamworth, and have never had reason to complain. Last Nov @gav240z and I drove it Melb for the X-Mas BBQ and back to Syd all in 72hrs. @Lightmaster240z Bruce travelled from Lurch’s to the BBQ in it and he was equally comfortable. I have not had it on a track, but it does just fine on twisty country roads. I always had in mind that this would be a tourer so am very happy. I am also still running the shocks it came with, no idea what they are, but they feel reasonably compliant. Cheers PB
  10. What a great looking car. That engine noise is nothing like a remember 1200’s making when they were a popular 1st car. Good to hear Stewie Wilkins getting a good rap. Great little Sunday morning coffee video.
  11. Hi George A total ground up rebuild is something very few have the courage to take on and even less the skill/perserverence to finish - you are doing great. If you ever need to chat or sanity check something give me a call. Cheers PB
  12. Very true, I really enjoy working on various projects and grow bored of them once they finished. For that reason the old Chev is perfect for me, as Dad has it all the time, the only time I get involved with it is when it needs something done, Oh and having a beer with him in his garage talking about the car. cheers PB
  13. Hi in the your activity stream have selected “Content Items Only” ? By selecting this I changed the “unread” list to only show each thread once, not once for each post. Then clicking on the thread title it takes you to the first unread post. also on the main forums page, the most recent active threads appear down the side. Not sure if any of the above helps..... All that aside, there has not been much technical posts over the last few days. cheers PB
  14. The load restraint laws in Sydney are certainly causing some stress. I think some the most dangerous and amusing examples of goods transport can be seen at your Bunnings on any given Saturday.
  15. Hi George The quality and attention to detail of your build is just amazing. I am really enjoying following your progress. Cheers PB
  16. Very nice, what is it originally from ?
  17. And here was me thinking it was a worthless old watch these days. Haven’t worn it in 20+ years, glad I didn’t toss it.
  18. You could probably make a custom face for a smart watch that would come close. @gav240z has probaly already done that though ?
  19. Or under the “More” tab if using Safari or under the "Activity" tab if using IE
  20. Hi, are you saying that my World Timer with Box etc could be worth a few dollars ?
  21. This is my ECO Drive.
  22. Was waiting for the opportunity to comment along the lines of. - some of us like watches and some like rally clocks.

Hi Two of the guys at work who have track cars also both talk very highly of St. George Tyres. Cheers pB
  24. Too funny, below is an image of the first decent watch I purchased. Picked it up duty free back in ‘92. Still have it but it needs a factory reset or something. also have a Seiko SKX007 and a Citizen Eco Drive. I am currently starting down the Seamaster or Speedmaster route.
