  1. Car looks good mate. I love the Porsche aswell... good taste
  2. Dang.... Nice car.
  3. Gav, the right time to buy is when you can first afford to and after due diligence is done through research . I know it may be a difficult pill to swallow, but if you wait "another ten years", how will you feel when prices are double what they currently are? I have a few investment properties and all my mates who were bagging me and telling me they will buy when the "impending crash occurs" and that "im going to be sorry when my assets are worth half what I paid" are guess what?? Yep either paying double the purchase price to what they could have, or still renting - one is actually renting a property I lease to him!! It is obvious that you are a smart and conscientious guy. Get onto that warehouse - rent it out. Prices while maybe plateauing will not see significant falls in the long term, you will have an envious and unique place to live, depending on zoning and location you could sub divide or develop, knock down rebuild and think about the negative gearing tax breaks!!! Just do it.....You will not go wrong..... I almost guarantee it!!
  4. Thumbs up on the pictures and trip mate. Reading through it reminded me how much I loved Japan and why. The people, the culture, the cars, the bright lights of downtown and the peaceful scenic areas. Truly recommend anyone who hasn't visited yet to get on it.
  5. I love this part of a build. All the hard work coming together. Hats off to you mate
  6. Orange sprayed dash!! My God........ what was the previous owner thinking. Its up to you now to get her back looking the way she should be... Oh and welcome!

    240Z Interior Parts

The map light has been reproduced by a number of companies. I think I got mine from MSA for $20 or $30 bucks
  8. Show off!!!!!!!!!!
  9. The $80K Z has certainly had some serious $$$ spent. That suspension package is tremendous..... Will be interesting for us RB powered owners to see the final sale $$.
  10. A range of quotes is always a good idea, however the only company that came close to Shannons was NRMA Vintage Insurance. My 240z costs me $570 per year (no driving limitations, however it is only driven a few times a month) at an agreed value of $55k.
  11. Are we stalking the girls Facebook Andy, or are you two already swapping pictures?
  12. Happy Birthday Gav

  19. The silver/blue 240z actually looks ok - especially for $2k.
  20. Congrats and have a great trip mate. Japan and the people are so awesome. Friendly, helpful and respectful. I was talking to a guy in a bar in Yokohama and he saw a picture on my phone home screen which is the green 240z and my Shiba Inu. He was very excited I had both Japans favorite car and dog in Australia. I enquired about fender mirrors and he called some wreckers but could only get the short stalk SSS ones. I didnt get to any car resto shops or see much old school on the roads at all but there are plenty of expensive cars and showrooms.... especially in and around Ginza (uber rich area) and Ropponghi Hills (night life area). Make sure you use taxis as little as possible - very expensive. The metro system is flawless. Since its your honeymoon - (I did this when I got engaged on my trip last week)... take her to New York Bar and Grill on the 52nd floor of the Park Hyatt in Shinjuku.... Views and meal is great but pricey - theres plenty of time and opportunity for traditional Japanese cuisine later on!! Theres also a very classy bar called The Bar (Peninsular Hotel) which overlooks the Imperial Gardens - top shelf.. If you need any advice or recommendations let me know. Have fun
