in my opinion one tooth out shouldn't make any difference, so long as the distributor can rotate it will compensate, mine ran worse than yours when I fitted the triples. I took it to a Weber carby expert he had it idling perfect within 30 min, with 17 deg static timing all the jets needed to be changed even though they were brand new and set up from Weber performance. -
the trailer loaded would only be around 300kg I didnt explain it very well

well technically any motorcycle is not rated/designed to tow a trailer, therefore there is no max towing capacity, however, it is an accepted practice and if your bike can pull it then go for it. I have fitted hydraulic over ride brakes to help with emergency stopping. My Beemer is 378kg with fuel before I put luggage in it and sit on the bugger so 2 up about 500kg loaded. the camper is 160kg before loaded as you see it in the photo above so all up about 7-900kg fully loaded with a passenger.

the trailer or the boss !! it was interesting when we fell off at eagle hawk nest, my fault of course, bike wheels went under the steel guard rail smashed the shit out of the bike, it was a great holiday though love Tassie. She don't ride on the back any more that's her 1250 in the background..pm me your address mate please to return the column. thanks

So after installing the power steering from Justin he asked me to try it out and report so I Decided to do a quick trip to the Grampians. Got to say no more need to do arm exercises although it is very direct, as in no centre free play where you move the wheel it goes, takes a bit of getting used to.

very nice, great collection I am missing the 280 rust can be fixed dont give up on it. -
Victorian club rego is a max of 90 days not 120, to go onto club plates you need to join a club that has vic roads approval for the red plate scheme, you will also need a current RWC , not all clubs are approved to be apart of the red plate scheme.

maybe consider making up new longer leads and having the the posts to the front I think it would be a lot safer.

Today I replaced the Head gasket ready for Melbourne BBQ trip, it was leaking oil out of the centre gallery down the side of the block and did final tune on the Triple carby's.

no just screw out the switch check it is ok and refit, the light should go out. if it doesn't then you may need to pull it apart

unplug it of the switch does the light go off ? if so remove and refit the switch it does sound like an earth problem

Thanks all going to run it naked for now and maybe look into this again later, sounds bloody awesome, wish I had done a dyno while the efi was on for a comparison, anyway it has come up to 115kw or 154hp on a stock l28 for any one interested in figures.
