  2. Spoke to Dave King today who informed me he is no longer in the game, however he gave me the guys name & mob# who does them. His name is Michael mob# 0412509410 ,spoke with him this arvo & asked for price which he said would be around the $280/300 mark. However he said that if at least four were sent to be done he would chrge $260 & if six or more would reduce this to $250. Also said that he re covers dashes amongst other things. He is situated in Penrith NSW. I'm happy to assist with getting S/wheels to him if anyone wants to get involved but would prefer that any financial transactions would be directly involved with him. Balls in your court fella's. Regards: Alan.
  3. G'day Alex?, checked out the full info re :address etc. The cmpny name is King's trim Emu Plains NSW. 280zx strip

Hi mate, just to advise you that I will be away until 30th dec if you should try to contact me re parts & have a good Xmas. Regards: Alan.
  5. If you are going to the trouble of replacing components ,suggest that you replace the vacuum advance canister i would also suggest that you check the plastic? unit that this operates inside the dissy which moves the internal units to function properly with timing. These are notorious for causing similar problems you are experiencing especially when revs are reqd. Also recommend that you get the g/box pressure tested by the appropriate people. Could be blown internals. Regards: Alan.
  6. There's a pr on Ebay for $113.80 + pstge from the states. Regards: Alan.
  7. I'm only conversant with 260Z's only, maybe a 240Z person can help you out but I have a 260Z incomplete unit here I'm sure. You can have it for postage cost mate. Regards: Alan.

  16. Hi Adrian, PM sent. Regards: Alan.
  17. Have you tried adding a relay system. The fuse should not blow as a result of low volts, sounds like to me that there is a short or something of that nature. Regards: Alan.
  18. I always believe there is two sides to a story & so there was. Glad to see that the supposed guilty party was proven to be innocent . Those that were quick to condemn should have waited for the full story to unfold. The perpetrator of all this should hang his head in shame & never use this Forum again. Shame shame shame. Regards : Alan.
  19. For what its worth, if the dissy has been pulled apart & the upper section has been put back 180 dgrs out you will also have this problem. Stands to reason that if the bottom of the motor hasn't been touched then it has to be the dissy. Might also mention that if you fit a 280z elctrnc dissy you also have to use the 280 base plate otherwise timing will be out. Am easier way to find TDC without to much hassle is to remove the #1 spark plug then rotate motor so that timing mark lines up & relevant piston is at the top of stroke you can use a torch to visualize or a long screw driver thru the plug hole. Regards: Alan.

  23. WTB: Rear hatch inner rubber seal for 76 S31 260Z , or where I may buy one from. Regards: Alan.
  24. Two other checks for head gasket problems is oil deposit in radiator cap when removed or also a milky colrd residue in oil cap when removed.Compression test is best method to check thoroughly but best take two readings .First one while motor is cold & the second after the motor has been warmed up to allow metal to expand & problem to be more evident. If both readings are fairly close it's not the gasket. If there is a distinct variation of readings then it is either the gasket or the head is cracked. Regards: Alan.
  25. Like Roberto I to am seeking the same rocker cover type. Regards: Alan.
