  1. I got mine late in 2013, price of the air box only was 36,750yen. Shipping and handling fees were extra.
  2. Seems a little small on the spokes and the cut outs. Might be a momo wheel with the mach horn assembly? Looks and sounds like a sweet ride though!
  3. Same height as originals.
  4. Yep it was the cheaper fixed offset type, they looked like an original strut top, about -1deg IIRC. More recently I ended up running the offset to the rear for more caster and lap times didn't change.
  5. Stuart Wilkins Motorsport and K-mac are two that I know of. I ran a used set of the SWM urethane offset strut tops for many years without any issues with offset bump steer spacers. They have since debonded while the car was on stands for a long time, could've been due to age and I'm not sure how old they were when I bought them. I'd use them again.
  6. That gearbox and the Chrono tach! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhCbvtsicIYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhCbvtsicIY
  7. It was a number of years ago for me but I had no issues. Presented paperwork inside, two people came out and confirmed number on engine matched paperwork. Job done. Perhaps things have changed more recently.
  8. What happens with the two different chassis numbers on the car, when it comes to rego? Is it cut and shut? I'd be very careful.
  9. It shouldn't get to 3/4 on the temp gauge, that's at 100 deg C! The steel pipes into the SU mainfold are always blocked, the fittings in the manifold corrode unless they've been replaced as part of a refresh. The flow through that manifold will be zero, that means no flow through housing past the thermostat and poor temp control. The bypass hose off the housing is a question mark shape, you'll never get a screwdriver down that. There's most of the shite temp control. That's why the 'jiggler' is removed and the hole is enlarged. Drill it to 2.5-3mm, it's very a common on the L4-L6 engines. Next time when filling the cooling system, leave the car on stands/jack at full height while filling, start the car and squeeze the lower hose when running to push any air up to the radiator, leave the cap off and you will see it bubble in the neck. Then repeat.
  10. The filter socks have coil springs in them to stop this. Were the springs removed?
  11. +1 Adam. I'm the same, I always cut off the jiggler and drill out the hole to 2.5mm. By doing this you'll have a tiny amount of flow even when the thermostat is closed and it will sense the temp quicker. Was the cylinder head pressure/crack tested at the last rebuild?
  12. I like them without and no rubber strips. Plain chrome or stainless gets my vote!
  13. This link should help. I ran an RB30 starter for years without issue. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/14094-suggested-replacement-starter-motor/?hl=%2Bstarter+%2Bmotor
  14. Kind of, it's hard to pick though.
  15. Was off an N42/N42 L28 I bought, was told it was from a ZX. I'll have the sump laying around somewhere too, there of no use to me, so all yours if you want (free). PM me.
  16. This is off a spare L28 of mine, is it the correct type?
  17. Yeah +1, great work space!
  18. Thanks Jake, that clears it up. The FRP sounds a little strange, so would be worth asking the question first. IMO, I can't tell the difference between mine and yours from the pics I have seen on the car.
  19. What's the plan Mossy, Just the standard front, with or without chin spoiler?
  20. Interesting Jake, is someone doing reproductions? These are a fair bit cheaper than the ones I purchased. The ones I got from this seller we advertised as NOS (with a price to match) and came in Nissan boxes. They also had black tape over the stainless trim rings as well as a self adhesive sponge seal on the lenses. Do you know how the trim differs? I'd like to see if I've been rolled.
  21. Hey Chris, found these while looking. I got my ones from this exact seller many years ago now. Looks to be a good price too. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/t516815590 Genuine 240zg badges. Danger money! https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/v502607902 I would love to see more details on the build!
  22. Thanks Jeff, It was more curiosity as I had heard they were light weight. Sounds like you have excellent taste in wheels too!
  23. I think the colored ones with the offset tops have ground control brand sleeves and eibach springs.
