I'll save you the trouble, Craig doesn't do it anymore and it's impossible to find the honda wiper motor at the wreckers these days.
You can buy this whole plug and play kit from the USA

with the USD so strong it's be around AUD$280 landed
I had a 1K deposit on the new Z but when the pricing came out. I asked for my deposit back (that took months just a long story of how dealers are quick to take your cash and hard to hand it back).
I have the opposite problem, everytime I bring my racecar to C.A.R for repair, I worried if lurch will open the pandora box
don't do a full restoration if you want to track or hill climb the car. (just my opinion)
ITB are greats but the cost is huge for what it gains over a professionally tuned carbs.
Get webbers and go to Steve Boyle in Perth to get it tuned. He's a guru with carbs.
Historic Sandown races on Blendlive TV, plenty of z actions.

no secrets but it really depends on what your application.
For my racing I use Project Mu race pads or Winmax W5. and used the shoes material the HQ racing guys use with the steel drums instead of aluminium. Sacrifice some weight in the drums because the aluminium expand too quickly with the heat.
If you can upgrade and put a bit of big brake kit bling on why not?
But is it a necessity? I'd say not.
I regularly do 195khp to 95kph stop at Sandown on stock front and rear drum for 8 laps race with no issue.
It took a while to find the right pads and shoes/drum to use. I tried too agressive pads and they cooked the rotors so by lap 3 there were massive brake fade.
p.s last year we have been allowed slighlty thicker and ventilated discs from non-turbo 300zx and allowed to put a spacer to expand the stock caliper to fit the wider discs
