  3. He's obviously a 'factory' specialist with an 'aftermarket' understanding! No 't' or any other alphabetical 'factory' option was stupidly applied to the S30. This looks like a perverted ZX retrofit :'( Rev.
  4. I PM'd you with it this morning bro? but just checked and I think it's gone! :'(
  5. I'm not sure if it now the right time to tell the 200 or so that have looked at the pic that I'm just taking the mickey out of myself and a few others that like to have a 'brotherly' dig! I would never wear that color and I hate Trifle! Rev.
  6. Yes, you can just use GP thinners for both, if you start using ACLAC or something like it for the top coat you take some risks in lifting your primer, especially if the weather is a little cool. Remember if you're spraying metallic don't forget to factor in clear coat, actually I think you are better putting some clear coat even over solid colors as it allows you to do a good color sand before you cut. The only thing I'd challenge is leave your paintwork a little longer that a day before you color sand and machine cut, this allows for the solvents to evaporate and give you a harder finish. Rev.
  7. hey Bryan, Sorry man, but I don't stock anything like this. Your best source of doglegs is Rare Spares. Regards, Rev.
  8. It could have been me, we had a special ladies auxiliary mini bake off and drag queen show, so I went and did a couple of kylie numbers and sold a few lamingtons, didn't realise that there was so much wine in the trifle so had to leave my car there and hitch hike home, don't know why no one stopped to give me a lift?
  9. Now that I LIKE!!! problem is where to get them? I've been looking for some off the shelf solutions but nothing really available!
  10. OK so wet day + the need to 'stretch' my brain caused me tio once again address the whole filters and trumpets thing. So I went to Bunnings and Clark rubber with some ideas in mind and after some trial and error, some sanding, grinding and filing I came up with a very snug fit individual 'pod' type filter that slips over the end of each trumpet. I inserted a foam rubber 'o' type ring which you can see in the pics which allows the filter to push over the trumpet and have a tight fit without the need to secure it further. This is the prototype and I may make some mods as I go along. The beauty of this set up is a mesh which the filter foam sits against and then a cap/retaining piece that can be opened to clean, replace the filter. I'll have to do all of them then drive it to see if it makes any different under load. This is all made from plumbing pieces! Rev.
  11. Hey John, Man, sorry to hear about your boy it's a difficult time for a parent when any of our kids are sick, to be critical I can only imagine is even more difficult. 14. Hey Guys, Hopefully Scoot, and Sul may chime in here. Did some playing around with the jetting of the dellos today. Tried going to 135 mains with 185 Air Correctors and it went like a shower of....horse crap! so back in with the 145 main jets which I tried with a number of variations of air correctors and found that 200 air correctors were best. it still is a little flat around 2000rpm but after that it pulls way hard and rockets!! I still need to do something with the narrowing of the air bleeds do you think this will help the down low RPM range? or any other ideas? Rev.
  15. You may need to use a dremmel tool with a fine metal cutting wheel. Rev.
  16. you should etch the panel after fixing it, then prime, then you will need to putty, prime, topcoat. Rev.
  17. Ok, So the parts car has got to go!!!! this weekend only, either come and take some parts off yourself or take away the whole 2+2 shell with a bonnet, good wheels, straight roof (no rust at all) some running gear. It has a perfect panel around the fuel filler and drivers side rear guard that would be well worth the effort. Also have several exhaust systems Set of Hurricane wheels with rubber NO POST - just come and take them away and make a donation if you can to the charity i work for, Southern Cross Kids Camps that assists abused and neglected kids. Ask me I might have it! or just come over Saturday to Rev's, grab a part, grab a beer and have a chat (Beers only available after lunch!) Rev.
  18. Hi guys, I'm trying to fix down my new bonnet vents and want to try a really high stick double sided tape. I wondered if anyone had any suggestions/brands/places to purchase etc. Thanks, Rev.
  19. Just google it and it will tell you, type in 'current time in........' and it will tell you exactly! Rev.
  20. Great job Loui, you are putting together a Zed that will last another 30 years! Rev.
  21. Thanks guys, looks like airbox it is then!
  22. I took the 'sox' off the trumpets today and took it for a blat and it actually seemed to run better however common sense says that there needs to be some sort of filtering for the carbs...any ideas. It is still a little sluggish in the 1500-200 rpm range but I'll wait until I can put the air correctors in and see if this changes. Just interested in how others 'filter' their carbs. Rev.
  23. This is probably the closest pic of the real color!
  24. My 2+2 was done way before Jays - but I agree everyone seems to use it as their model, I can see why though! Rev
