  1. Took the opportunity to go for a great drive. this morning. Probably the first 'real' drive since REVZED was road ready. Amazingly traffic was light, adrenalin was pumping and I shrugged off my conservative driving hat and exchanged it for a 'if I make it home in one piece I'll be blessed' driving hat! This thing flies! better than I thought and my biggest problem was keeping my speed down. Was able to experience great acceleration in 2 and 3rd which enabled me to move past some 'seemingly stationary vehicles' around some of the twistier roads that I encountered. All in all it blew the cobwebs from the Zed and from the Rev all in one drive, need to be more days like this! Rev.
  2. Great Job Mick, Look like a bought one! Rev.
  3. Hey Pauly, Will be praying for a speedy recovery for you bro. Rev.
  4. Matt, I have a Falcon with a towbar and should be able to help tow if we can work out timings that suit. I towed my Zed on a trailer up and down the freeway a number of times Rev.
  5. Hi Guys, Hoping someone may have a trailer that I can borrow either Fri, Sat or Sun to pick up an engine from Dimitri. I'm in Narre Warren on the SE side of Melbourne, only need it for the day. Thanks, Rev.

  9. If I've still got the Zed I'm in! Just gotta be back by Sunday Arvo! Rev.
  10. I'm sorry to hear that Pete. There could be a variety of reason and could be any one or combo of things. A) (please don't flame me) often we don't make sure that we have stirred the paitn throughly either first time or second time around which causes improper distribution of fleck. B) Your spray gun set up inc air delivery C) humidity and temperature, causing paint to dry/not dry at same rates. D) improper thinning technique or air having gotten to the paint in tin which can cause color concentration E) application, in other words you applied it in a different pattern. F) different color primer underneath. It could be any or none of the above just rying to provide some thoughts out of my limited experience. Rev.
  11. I'm not saying after this one is gone that I won't still have a Zed...Just have a lot of other 'stuff' happening. Rev. P.S Simon, this could be the 'shell' you been looking for brother!!!!

  13. Hi guys, Wondering if anyone has any first hand experience importing a vehicle from the US and the associated costs and statutory requirements? or if someone knows of a freight company who brings cars over? Thanks Rev.
  14. Great day! Awesome to meet some guys that have previously been names on the forum. Big thanks to Lurchos (and his mum & Dad) for opening his house and workshop for the day. I hope everyone walked away with a little extra knowledge and a confidence to be innovative and 'have a go'!. Rev.
  15. I have to check to be doubly (is that a word?) sure but I think my early 74 is the same as the 240z, it is the same in every other way, it's like they attempted to genetically modify a 240z and ended up with a few small changes until early 75 when things got 'all shook up!' Rev ;D ;D ;D (sorry to much red bull!)
