  1. John, your description of 1950's immigration is spot on! and yes the whole process of assimilation and contribution is our big issue right now. Your statements of derivative religions is a little shady but that's for another time Rev.
  2. Maygz, I have a brand new one for sale, bought it and ended up fixing my old one, give me a pm or call zero 4 zero 9 62 zero 443 Rev.
  3. I just filed the opening large enough to fot the rivet through, look fine as you can't see the holes. Rev.
  4. Have a great day Mick! Rev.
  5. awesome John, great to have you as part of the AusZcar community, if I can help in any way feel free to give a shout. Rev.
  6. That is excellent! I just insured the 260 with Shannons for 25K and that is costing me 380per year that is with full rego driving once per week. I'll be calling Lumleys! Rev.
  7. Fantastic mate! it looks awesome and I think Harry found the right new owner, well done!
  8. Glad you had a good time...I tried...but :'(
  9. I'm sure it will all get worked out, I know Lurch and I'm sure he is just as keen to chase it up as anyone, he'll reply soon and it will all be sorted...no need to 'name and shame' just yet Rev.
  10. I think that we could have 2 cars and I reckon Lurchos should have his in there. Whilst I think mine is pretty clean just remember that 98% of everything was done by me in my backyard workshop so it's not a concourse winner however I'm reasonable happy and will continue doing work on it once it is on the road. Rev.
  11. Thanks for the comments guys. Craig, the mirrors on the fenders was to go for that 'JDM" style look, They're not as practical as door mirrors but I like the difference of them. I mounted the winch to a random piece I fond in my collection, I think it was someones home made attempt at a front bumper mount and it worked pretty well. It is now at Daniel Moore's for some final touches and hopefully ready by the 17th for the Jag club meet. Rev.
  12. I could do that providing it is on the road! it should be that still gives me 3 weeks. I could put something together showing the build that you could put on the data projector. Rev.
  13. Just don't use thinners if it's on lacquer paint work! just use prepsol it cleans it well.
  14. Here we are I think this is the first full side profile pic! first time out of the garage that she went into looking very tired and...brown! 6 months later and she looks a little different. It's now on the trailer ready to get a few final things done before her debut! Rev.
  15. Top shelf work Scoot, I think you move faster than me!! I am hoping to find a couple of second hand doors and do the same for mine. I cut and welded but I'd like brand new door skins. Anyway the Scoot mobile is looking great. well done. Rev.
  16. Ha Gareth, I just did mine on Sunday!
  17. Hi Roberto, Easy fix mate. It has a rear lip that covers the lip of the hatch which is a perfect fixing point that together with some very simple blocks (wood, plastic or high density foam) sikaflexed into place on the inside front of the spoiler will allow you to attach it free of screws. Place sikaflex in dobs on the rear lip of the spoiler and on the blocks, place in position and hold firmly with 'blue' masking tape that will hold everything in place and wont remove paint when the tape is removed. The benefit of the fixing method is that you ever change your mind you can get the spoiler off without having to weld up holes. Hope this helps, Rev.
  18. Lurchos, no offence taken just 'giving a bit back'! I will wait and see what the RWC people say. Rev.
  19. Hi Guys, would like to buy another valve cover to play with some color coding if someone has one for sale perhaps best in Vic but will consider elsewhere. Thanks, Rev.
  20. Lurchos when I dummy ran the flares I had about 1cm clearance, they're wider than you think and I don't think to term my choice as potentially 'pox' is very sportsman like at all! :-\
  21. Just found this for sale on ebay, it's like a 'minime' - gives me an idea what the flares might look like! Rev.
  22. I use a product called Sikaflex just a couple of "dobs' onto the vent and then seat it in the recess - done!
  23. Thanks Dan - I got the mirrors from a guy in the Philippines. here's a link to his Ebay US page pagehttp://motors.shop.ebay.com/ols_eucs/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=
  24. Here's a bit of an update. Interior is now finished other than some wiring with the centre console. Mounted spoiler, mirrors, front FG bumper, bonnet vents, painted fuel tank and trying to fit rear bumper which arrived with no mounting points like the front one!!!!!! other than that it has been all the fiddly stuff of reassemble. Tomorrow I will mount rear spoiler and rear bar and make a decision on flares or no flares! then a few minor touch ups, color sand, cut and polish and then off to Daniel Moore for some fine tuning! I feel exhausted!!!! but I know I'll think it was all worth it when I go for a drive Rev.
  25. Ummm, thread hijack by my own son! I'm not racing anybody ....remember where I placed on the gocarts! :'(
