  1. I'll be home all day Dimitri. Yes the screen will fit a 240 as it is out of a 74 260 (which is really a 240!) Screen has one very small chip. feel free to give me a call on o4o962o443 and I can describe all the stuff i have. Rev.
  2. Sorry no fuel filler pipe. SO WHO'S COMING? there are a set of 240z seats. set of cheviot rims with tyres, rear seat good condition, windscree, dide glass for a 2+2. bumpers galore and 100's of other pieces, they gotta go! Rev.
  3. This is better than the comedy channel! Queue quick quirky comeback!
  4. She's a smart girl that one! from 10am on wards, if you want a bargain, this is the time! Rev. P.S if you come Sunday you get a double bargain each part sold comes with a free sermon and bible study, please set aside at least 8 hours for the experience!
  5. Absolutely agree with Simon, almost every 240z i've seen under 10K has been very ordinary! and the difficulty is with some master bog craftsman around even the 10k ones that look all right, look pretty ordinary once you get them undressed...I should know, I looked into this heavily for a friend in Qld and even after lots of photo's, promises, and supposed history ended up with an old girl who's previous cosmetic surgeon should have really been a proctologist and practised on himself! Rev.
  6. Well done Z, just keep 'plugging' away at it and it will be ready for that blessed summer cruise! Rev.
  7. They are a little square than normal, they are from the States.
  8. I've got a pair of Z show plates for $30.00 if anyone wants them. They look great to put on if you take your car to a show. Rev.
  9. Not sure yet Simon...Just somewhere cheaper! The 'great Aussie dream' isn't so great any more! Rev.
  10. Hi Guys I'm probably moving house so parts have to go CHEAP! to many to list 52 Wood Road Narre warren South (Vic) from 10am. If you are looking for a specific item I'll do my best to let you know if I have it! Rev.
  11. Happy day guys! I'm off to lunch and got a cool worklight and chocs! although with a 20, 17, 15,7 and 4 year old...fathers day would be cool with just some quiet! Oh and this is my 1000 post...remind me to 'get a life'! Rev.
  12. For you...yes, I'll send you the off shore bank details so you can make the deposit! But seriously folks the price has been set so if you want it PM me. Rev
  13. Well I guess this is where I chime in. The whole idea of offers over $20K, yes is subjective but so is the market. In no way would I put my integrity at risk 'baiting' a buyer, I simply put it 'out there' that for anyone seriously interested in a seriously good solid Zed they could contact me with what they thought the car was worth to them. Yes I have a figure in my head and yes some have offered close, but I'm just a little concerned that this kind of comment makes it seem that I'm somewhat 'underhanded' in my advertised price. So as my integrity is worth everything to me the car is for sale @ $24,500 not negotiable (to keep everyone happy) C'mon boys...game on! Rev.
  14. Is on the market but not sure for how much longer 3 serious lookers but noone yet to hand over the cash, first to do it will own it! Rev
  15. Mark! man, that looks fantastic, you are doing a super job. Keep going! Rev.
  16. Yep all those years ago when life was safe and we rode our 'pushy's' without helmets I used just a wee bit to much 2 pac!...I'm still findin easter eggs from last year! Oh....and my kids often say "daddy, why do you glow in the dark!' If you can wait till later tonite, I'll write down my system and hopefully Serpent John may chime in as he knows his 'stuff' and we'll see if we can't come up with some solutions for ya!
  17. Hey Tim, I know it's hard to get right advice, but if the guy is terlling you to bog over epoxy, he should be in stand up comedy! Have a look at the shine on my car which was achieved in a day of wet rubbing and then cut, I haven't even polished it yet! I'm still waiting for a 2 pac job to look as good! When you paint Acrylic you can afford the odd mistake and sand it out and touch it up, when you make a mistake with 2 pac, well it's nowhere as easy to touch up and fade. All I'm saying is that I have had cars painted in acrylic and the paintwork when kept with a 6 monthly polish is still looking pretty in 20 years - But it's your call. Just tell the guy from the paintshop that he must be related to Pinochio! (or whatever his name is!) Rev. P.S his quantities are also in LA LA LAND! you can double it!
  18. Oh dang Benny...Don't know if I'll be able to make it now, I'm such a KIT-Aholic...REV THE ZEDRIDER, well at least for now!
  19. gotta say,and take it in the heart it's said - if you spray 2 pac at home you're a goose! 1/ a $100 dual filter respirator is still like wrapping your laughing gear around and exhaust pipe and sucking down fumes for 20 minutes! while I agree that political correctness often sux, information of lung destroying chemicals is life giving...literally. without a fullface, oxygenated mask and even full overalls you run the risk of severe damage, do it often enough and you'll be hiding your own easter eggs by the time you're fifty! 2/ If you're new to painting, the 2 pac method is much harder to get a consistent result, either because of the electrical charge that it sets up through the painting process you will pull that much dust into your finish or you'll have big enough runs for Molly Meldrum to hang his entire hat collection on! Get it done by a pro or go Lacquer! Although its just my opinion....oh and that of almost everyone else I know who paints outside of a booth! Rev.
  20. PM Sent also...being that we can find consensus and make decisions quickly maybe we should be running for Govt!
  21. You've got some wierd angles on your linkages there! from the firewall right through to the end lingage if your alignment isn't spot on it doesnt matter how much you attempt to tune, it will never be right. Take the time now to set up all of your linkages right, save a lot of heart ache later on. Rev.
  22. Well done Matt, When you strip the Zed down (make sure you buy those ziplock bags and a black paint pen) and bag everything you can with good explanations written on it (paint pen because after about 12 months permanent marker even fades!), remember if it's 2 year between reassemble all the others parts of life get in the way of remembering where all those bits and pieces bolt on to. Then write yourself a small project management plan where you can actually tick stuff off - this is how you actually finish projects and resist the urge to lose motivation and pass a project to someone else...who inturn passes it to someone else... This is how I got 3 Zeds done in 4 years, planning, planning, planning! If I can be of any help, you only have to yell! Rev.
  23. Hey, Sorry to hear of your news, if there is anything I can do for you personally or that we can do as a club please feel free to PM me. Regards, Rev.
  24. Hey Time, Welcome! sorry to hear of your problems. I'm just down the road from you in Berwick and would be happy to talk furthwer with you and lend any assistance I can. There are also a number of very knowledgable guys that live not to far away. send me a PM and I'll pass on my number. Rev.
  25. Sorry Drifta, but if you use your method over 'crows feet' it will ALWAYS come back! why? because there has been a breakdown in the paint which has penetrated at least to some point the substrate. If you have any compromise in the paint at any level from etch upward the only 'real' way to fix it is strip and start again. Rev.
