  1. Greatest seats I ever saw were the ones I fitted in my last Zed from a Suzuki Cappuccino, check out my build thread to have a look. It was almost a straight bolt in job! http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,5550.150.html Rev.
  2. Great work John, the detail is what will make this build something real special, well done. Rev.
  3. Hey Luke, Great write up. Your Vinyl pieces are just best stored in one of those cheap plastic white containers worth about $10 from Supa Cheap. Floor Pan you should check on ebay or get a panel shop to make you one up, Lurch who is a 'Mod' on the forum may also be able to give you some advice. Lastly yes it's fine to shift the Auto selector whilst it's on stands, while you're at it why don't you shift the whole auto out and drop in a 5 speed manual whilst you're at it!(much more fun). You will get heaps of great advice on this forum and don't forget to contribute, you may learn some stuff in your rebuild that can help us all. Cheers, Rev.
  4. Looked at a 260z today...ummm, didn't look long! I'm still on the hunt! Rev.
  5. Hey guys, Still on the look out for a new Zed, if anyone hears of anything be sure to let me know - my wallet is ready to be emptied! I had a couple of calls on my phone when I returned from the USA re cars, but thanks to OPTUS they fuzzled my message bank and I lost every message! Cheers, Rev. o4o962o443
  6. Jimbo now that's funny man, That gave me a great laugh!
  7. Any Marks out there?
  8. Hey guys, My message bank threw a wobbly and deleted my saved messages!!! I had a message from a guy called Mark who has a 71 240z for sale if anyone knows him or Mark you are reading this please give me a call on o4o962o443 Cheers Rev.
  9. Top Job once again Scoot, great to see how well your work is coming along. Rev.
  10. Thanks guys, we had a blast whilst in the States although as typical I was busier than ever! Look forward to catching up soon./ Rev.
  11. Hey guys, Just arrived home after 2 months in the US and think that my garage looks a little 'Zedless'! so If you hear of anything around give me a PM or call me on o4o962o443. Will consider anything however at this point I may tend to look for something that doesn't require a full makeover! Look forward to catching up with all again soon, it must be time for another BBQ! Cheers, Rev.
  12. Thanks Son, That will look great on my new 260z, I appreciate you thinking of the old man! Love Dad!
  13. +1, Think it would be a great idea John. Often people PM for info but then it almost remains in isolation and opportunity to resource a wider audience with common (or uncommon) information would be awesome. Rev.
  14. I sincerely hope that you listen to the good advise on this forum at least better than you listened to your mum when she was attempting to teach you the benefits of good manners! Oh, and when you have successfully restored some Zeds, matured a little and put your manners back in you have the right to throw in a few 'roostery' comments. However your comment about what you may choose to sell in St Kilda to finance your resto has probably well defined your current value system. Cheers, Rev.
  15. I was just thinking - Its gonna cost me heaps to do up the body (+ fresh paint = $5000) of my Z and what is the likelihood that I will be able to obtain a RWC??? Is the amount of money + effort worth the uncertain chance that perhaps one day maybe my Z will be driven on the roads??? Sorry guys but I find the question a little incredulous! it's going to cost you what it's going to cost you! If you search these forums you will find that RWC requirements do not differ for Zeds from any other classic vehicle. My comment is based on the reality that if you don't have the money, ability or time to get the vehicle to the required standard then don't own a Zed. To ask the question whether the amount of money and effort is worth it is at best subjective, it depends on your perseverance and how much joy you anticipate getting from restoring a 30+year old car. Not trying to discourage anyone but honestly you need to do your own homework to determine affordability. Rev.
  16. A RWC is going to cost you what it requires for your safety and the safety of others. After restoring a number of Zeds I can tell you that RWC has picked up a few things that have saved me money further down the track. Restoration of a Zed is never cheap, so if you think that you don't have the dollars or you really don't give a toss about what your Zed looks like or goes like you're probably better off getting something more affordable like a Hyundai or Daewoo, I think there is even some clubs that cater for the Korean import market and i'm sure they would be lots of fun to cruise in and easier to get a RWC. Rev.
  17. Uhmmm, easier to see through than a stained glass window! I love businesses who assist the Zed community but to list them the way you have certainly looks like there is an affiliation that goes way beyond good service...just sayin! Rev.
  18. Thanks guys! Feeling heaps better and enjoying time with Mel and the kids!
  19. Big 'double' ditto, Simon! - never had a 'you call me, I might be interested' buyer yet! Rev.
  20. hey Gav, respectfully I have to give some 'push back' about the idea that the 240z will outprice a 260z. In my experience most people who are willing to spend are not buying from a 'purist' mindset but from a perspective of 'how much toy' can I get for my dollar. I have sold two 2+2's for more than many a 240z is going for based on look, immediate drivabilty etc and my 260z beat the selling price of 90% of eqiv 240z, it's not so much the model as it is the ability to purchase something that won't sit in the back corner of the shed for 5 years. Rev.
  21. Just glad to know you're OK man. freaking crooks trying to prey on people who actually give a rip! they need to get a job!...and a life. Rev.
  22. hey guys, Just received this email. If it's real I'm OK to help but if it's a fake someone needs to let 'Garvice' know what's happening. here's what i received minutes ago. Hello, I'm sorry I didn't inform anyone about my trip to London, United Kingdom. Unfortunately I was mugged at gun point, at the hotel park am staying. My mobile phone, cash and credit card was stolen but luckily for me I still have my passport. I was able to make contact with the UK Police and directed to the Australia Consulate, but they seems to be taking things too slow. My flight leaves in few hrs from now, and am having problems settling the hotel bills. I already suggested to postpone the bills but the hotel management insisted I should contact my family & friends at home to send funds my way to settle bills and also have extra money to return home. Please get back to me asap. Thanks, Bradley Garvice Walters Cheers, Rev
  23. hey guys, Just a quick update to let you guys know that we made it! after cancelled flights in LA, we finally (3 days late) touched down in Tampa Florida where we were greeted by sunny blue skies and some real friendly peeps who took us to our accommodation which they had set up ready for us with food, toys for the kids etc! I have a few days spare before I get busy again so will be trying to hunt down the Z wreckers that i spotted on my last journey here! Hope everyone is doing fine! Rev.
  24. Yeah, mines a little self explanatory! Revzed: REV: I'm an ordained minister (Reverend) and their ain't no better car: ZED. And for those that have seen me drive the 'rev' part definately doesn't come by way of speed and amazing driving abilities! Last in go carting everytime! Rev.
