  1. Guess I'll be there in a spirit, have a great SAFE drive and a snag and beer for me, better than hot dogs and a Bud! Rev. (Dad)
  2. seriously... I mean seriously!
  3. Well it looks like the KARma just ran over the DOGma once again! Blessings, Rev.
  4. As I've stated before...I've achieved similar prices for my 2+2's that others have sold their 2 seaters for, it's all about it being a 'turn key' car. People will pay more for a car with all the work done and will pay well. I could get anywhere up to 15-18k for a 'turn key' fully 'refreshed' 2+2, however if you are getting others to do all the work it will cost you more than you will get back for it, if you can do the majority of work yourself then you'll pick up some$$ Prices will NEVER go down! Rev.
  5. Not sure yet scoot, where I purchased they had minimal details I only know that it has a 350 crate motor? But the sound....I've been waiting years to have this kind of roar coming down the pipes. I love me Zed's but after driving this big HP cruiser I'm hooked. It will be returning with me and will either fund a new zed or be my cruiser and I'll start from scratch which as you know I'm kind of accustomed to doing! Miss all you guys heaps. Dave
  6. Absolutely Dimitri, that's my ticket to another Zed!
  7. Thought I'd post some pics of the new z....Z-28 that is! Rev. http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll105/reverendzed/Camaro/1924DodgeBrothers068.jpg http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll105/reverendzed/Camaro/1924DodgeBrothers079.jpg http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll105/reverendzed/Camaro/1924DodgeBrothers074.jpg http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll105/reverendzed/Camaro/1924DodgeBrothers102.jpg http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll105/reverendzed/Camaro/1924DodgeBrothers061.jpg
  8. The best thing you can do to begin is to get a urethane bushing kit and just progressively replace as you have time, do front and rear separately not bits on both. In regard to drivability I just loved the way my 2+2 handled, now granted this is my car I wish i never sold so maybe my fond memories have muddied the waters, however after having a 2 seater which had everything replaced and in excellent condition i still remember driving and thinking that it felt 'loose' compared to my bus! Rev.
  9. And with that ladies and gentlemen...I rest my case! the institution will have to wait for the verdict from the ever growing jury (those who NDSOC have thumbed their seemingly elitist nose at in the past...and present) Rev.
  10. My 2 cents from across the ocean. The NDSOC club at it's leadership level has become an institutionalized model, hence the fact that they now feel 'safe' by restricting access and limiting the danger of what the unknown brings. As someone who has studied and written on the subject of different leadership models there seems to be many of the components at play that will, if not aprehended quickly, move NDSOC to a model of redundancy. Here's just a few 'signs': Long standing 'members' vying for and occupying key positions, Limited involvement of Gen Y (probably even Gen X!), micro managing constitutional rules and manipulating new opportunities for the sake of current members, limited use of marketing collateral or leveraging of relationships to expand the club with new memberships and finally it is insular and isolated from many of the other 'like minded' fraternities of common interest. My objective evaluation... NDSOC will fail to exist in a few years if it continues to adhere to it's current structure that has developed as a result of short sightedness of its original objectives. How can it be fixed? either through radical re-evaluation and re-identifying with it's core values or a hostile takeover. Either way without a change at its core it will soon be a corpse. Rev.
  11. but he also said to go forth and multiply, hence the need for a 2+2! Rev.
  12. Hey guys, before you ask, yes pics will be up tomorrow! Gave the Zed the maiden voyage today, in the wet and had some serious sideways fun in the huge parking lot at the church even tried a little drifting...nearly had to change my undies and realised I probably don't need to be sideways racing toward a brick wall to get my adrenalin fix! The problem is that when I'm driving the fumes are almost more than I can stand...now having owned a few Zeds I figured that it was a 'hatch' or tail light gasket issue but when I rolled up the window the fumes disappeared? I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this as all I can think of is that I have an exhaust leak somewhere that with the drivers window down gets sucked straight into the cabin...thoughts. Cheers to all my mates, miss you guys heaps! Rev.
  13. No, they are long gone! (which I guess you would have found out if you rang the phone number supplied with the ad!) Rev.
  14. All this just makes me homesick! talk of opening up a can of whoop ass on someone who thinks 5 finger discount is still the best way to win friends and influence people, to Maygz adventures on the high seas to salty's... O.K now I'm in tears and looking for cheap flights home just so I can stand around a BBQ, drink a beer whilst staring at an engine under a Zed's lifted top and corporately fantasying about the rumored barn finds to be had in rural Vicroria...I have to stop and take a Valium...talk soon! :'( Rev
  15. Drewpee, probably better to air your dirty laundry privately, you have Kobes number. I can at least vouch that when Kobes purchased a vehicle from me I met nothing than a gentleman with integrity. Take a moment to at least consider that life may have got in the way for him and it's often our response to that which shows who we really are (you can flame me for that:) Time to leave it alone boys and get on with life, if this is the worst thing to happen, you are blessed my friends! Rev.
  16. Well it's update time! found out that I need a new set of carbs (one 4 screw and one 3 screw with a really bad float) so hopeful to get hat organised this week, hopefully have fixed the brake problem still need to bleed the rears, and then with my seafoam and 3 inline fuel filters will hopefully get it running properly! REV.
  17. Well got me some seafoam and I'll let you know how it goes, changed the oil and it was Blackest black I've seen, new oil and seafoam and we'll see what happens. Also found when I took it for a spin that it has NO SEATBELTS! another thing for the list! Hope everyone id doing great back home. Rev.
  18. What is this sea foam you talk of my son?
  19. Thanks guys, yep I was thinking rings at least... :'(
  20. Got the red beast started and it is blowing a gut full of blueish/white smoke, I mean LOTS. Doesn't sound good? any thoughts guys. Had a guy from one of the "z" clubs here give me a hand last night and he was very knowledgeable, but it wan't until now that i got to actually take it out on the road, almost gassed myself! Rev.
  21. Hey Guys, Thanks for all making me HOMESICK :'( Haven't had much time to do anything yet, but as this car had been sitting in a garage for many years it seems that it had picked up dust and grime which made the paint worse. Picked up a 'clay bar pack' that I heard of a while ago, after a wash you use a spray lubricant and then rub the clay bar over the paint work. It picks up everything! it is amazing! I had cut the paint and it still felt kinda rough, went over it with the clay bar and smooth as a baby's butt! Looking forward to draining the fuel tank, giving it some fresh fuel and see if it runs any better. It starts straight away but runs rough, could be stale fuel, could be carbs? And yes, keeping my eyes out for triples Scoot! Rev.
  22. Ha, Bruce it means that it looks best from 10 feet away! Probably a bit harsh it'' just not 'show quality!
  23. Cost me $4300 and a whopping $35.00 per year rego! Yeah I was going to go all American Muscle but couldn't help it! Rev. P.s it's kinda not the same without all the Zpeople to go with it!
