I like them, period correct. Would look good if you like your Zed period correct, stock looking eg not lowered 14 inch wheels with 70series rubber. Not for everyone I guess. Many companies made these back in the day, aunger, ROH to name a couple. They used to be seen everywhere from datsuns, valiants, kingswoods and falcons.

Thanks John for clarifying, it makes perfect sense. Only difference is the zymol cleaner wax recommends buffing off before it dries to a haze. But alot of people, including the official turtle wax website still tell you to apply in a circular motion. All my cars have had swirl marks which I think was made worse when waxing and this discouraged me from waxing my Zed. My Zed received a bare metal respray in standox two pack silver fine in 2006 by the previous owner. I hardly drive it due to work and family and when I wash it , it still beads quite well and it lives in a garage, so i have resisted waxing it thusfar. Today I tried the Zymol on the wife's car, a 2007 Honda CRV, silver. Went up to the local supercheap and bought a Meguires clay kit. Followed instructions, wash with Zymol clear wash, then clay, then the zymol cleaner wax. Only done the bonnet, front guards and a door and I must say I am happy with the results. Not certain if the zymol cleaner wax is three times better than turtle wax, most likely it was the clay that made the difference. I know alot of the hardcore detailers dismiss zymol cleaner wax as glorified turtle wax, but for most people I think it is alot better than the usual kmart stuff and good enough for your daily. Mike

Hi, has anyone here have experience using Zymol? Just got some Zymol car wash and cleaner wax for christmas. The instructions for the wax says to apply with straight forwards and backwards motion as opposed to the tradtional circular motion. My question is how to buff it off? The usual circular motion or forwards and backwards? I'll probably experiment on the missus's car before trying on the Zed. Thanks in advance. Mike

The previous owner of my 260z put the flashing alarm light there so I'll assume it was a blank, also the owner's manual diagram shows nothing there. Looking good btw!

yes, it does sound like you have more pressing priorites at the moment. We can see what people are asking for their 2 seater s30's, what they actually sell for is a bit harder to tell. I'm sure when the time is right for your finances to buy a Zed, a good Zed will turn up for sale as well.

Well you got to have something to bargain with. For me,she made me sell my yamaha R6 to extend my life expectancy Or buy her something nice first like a gucci bag. IMO, if you want a s30 2 seater you either buy something like Benny's(which I think is sensibly priced) and have something you can enjoy straight away and not fix much or spend around $7k for an unfinished project which will end up costing more than $12k once you're done. Depends if you want instant Z gratification or if you are talented you can have the satisfaction or buiding your own. No-one ever needs to drop 10k+ on a 36 year old 2-seater Datsun, then again we can all drive camrys

Hi Daryl, one thing you have to consider is whether or not you are getting your doors repainted, as you'll have the holes from the existing mirrors if you decide to go for the fender mirrors. I like the fender mirrors. Even though they supposedly eliminate blindspots, you need to get used to judging distance, just remember what your driving instructor taught you, shoulder check for blindspots!

Those RK-R's look the business, much closer in appearance to R type wats than the RB's. Just noticed Rota's Shakotan, dead ringers for Hayashi's. Seems Rota is remaking all the classics.

It's jap old school racer style, seen on alot of hako's. I like it. To each to their own I guess but I'm not a fan of the rear flares. Bolt-ons look so much better imo

Yes it was an awesome day out. Congrats to the organisers SDC on a well run event. It was great to meet new member DTF260 (Daryl) and catch up with FLEXZED (Loui), BENZED as well as the owners of other Datsuns which have become familiar faces. Have to agree with fveten that I thought I would have bumped into more members than I did. Perhaps I wasn't near my Zed when you guys came through. Did manage to pick up a trophy representing AusZcar, Top stock Zed. Special thanks to Aaron (specialp3) I wouldn't have won anything had you turned up
