    While I would like triples.....I have always preferred a simpler set up and not happy with the existing twin SU's. Thinking of putting a down draft Weber 38 DGMS on my L28 with a P54 block and N42 and a 72 degree cam.... Using a standard 240K intake manifold and a adaptor. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated

    You need a straight 6 to fill that long bonnet of the Zed.....especially when they build this one (I wish one day )....have been waiting years now!

    Sad statement....... "I think the Toyota 86 is a good car, almost like the original 240Z".....nothing revolutionary happening in a 86 other than sub $40k!

    You will get contacted from a advert in Gumtree, I put one in an was contacted by a few people and I know several Zeds unearthed that were never advertised via these ads. This is how you get the barn (shed) finds.

    I think if you can find a 240Z that has not been restored you could get it for sub $20k. Most of these would have matching numbers and there would be 1 or 2 sold a year. Your problem would be finding one as they never get to be advertised, this is why everyone is putting "Wanted" ads on Gumtree.

    Do you think that a Dyno tune will give a marked improvement for one that has had the L28, N54 block, P42 head, lumpy cam, electronic ignition and twin SU's? Mine is tuned well and had the motor rebuilt 2 years ago. It just does not seem to pull well and uses a heap of fuel to do it.
