he prob means a 2+2, so many people dont know 2 seater 260z even existed :s i read someone in an american forum the other day say that 280z's were the best looking - i dont know what they were smoking, or if every single one he had seen had the bumpers taken off! i also agree 32>34>33 > than any 4 door - a stagea with an r34 front on the other hand could possibily start rating up there. i had a closer look at an r34 gtt that was at a dealer the other day, man they are getting cheap! and i was starting to get tempted, then i remembered all the connotations of having one, well mainly of having an r33, but 34's r going to get pretty bad at the price they are....a gtr on the other hand i could deal with s2 r33 4 door rear lights look kinda cool though

the black ones near the centre r 240z fender mirrors, as you can see the stalk is quite long from time to time they sell on US ebay for around $250, brand new - well they used to (with postage i ended up paying $450 from memory, as the dollar was crap) this is not to say you can't mount MSA or similar ones, people do, i just personally think it doesn't look the same, and infact looks worse than not having fender mirrors

I personally believe that unless its the proper mirrors (240z or 1600 ones), it looks like crap - half the look is in the agressive angle they come out at, even celica ones aren't the same the passenger side one also kinda requires the longer stalk in order for you to be able to see it over the windscreen wipers - the 1600 one's (chrome) are nearly to short for me to see the complete mirror in, so its understandable that the 240z (black) ones are slightly (1/2-1") longer

i enjoyed the slight garage walk through - really explains the reason for refering to the car as 'orange', instead of 'the z' whats the switch you press at the start that would normally be covered by a panel? or is that bit exposed? its been awhile since i've looked at a zed with the bonnet up and the fenders on...

+1 for a medium I think it would be nicer if the colour was red or white, as the green only really suits scoota's car! (and arguably mine) - however if it was red then i wouldn't need another Import bible, with the group buy's have you considered putting the group's logo either small on the opposite side of the tshirt, or as a replacement to the existing text? ie AusZcar instead of Fairlady Z? are they screen, or digitally printed?

that does look awesome, however impractical it may be you'd want to either raise the floor or flip the rails to the inside! I also dont understand him saying that none of the coilovers he could buy went as low as he wanted them to - the way i'd read it, most people welded them in a spot where the car touchs the ground before you run out of adjustment?

take off the rear side interior panels, they should be there somewhere! normally there are some perferated holes infront of it

i'm pretty shattered i was unable to get tickets this year - one of my mates was buying them and didn't come up with the goods muse, karnivool, rise against - thats enough for a reason for me to go (although i do agree that most muse songs sound the same) i went last year and the lineup was definately worse...

i've been researching r32 gtr vs s15 - it seems as though 6g a year on maintaince for a gtr is pretty much average if you're paying someone to do the work and using it as a daily driver

love the colour also - i painted my lower sills black to cover rust, hopefully thats not the same reason they did it but sounds like that happened ages ago now!

i'll mark it in my calander to come down and have a look my can't won't be there though (ofcourse...) might have a panel thats been painted with a roller for anyone to look at who's interested (more likely to bring it to the bbq, and ride to docklands if the weather is nice)

we get stuff 3d scanned at work, imho its not that great and takes to much post scan input to ever be usable for visual surfaces. it is good however for checking how close you're model is to the orginal i watched the grant warwick tutorials http://forums.3dtotal.com/showthread.php?t=62437 on how to model in max the other week and gave it a quick go, seems easy and forgiving enough (i use max a bit, but only to render solids produced in solidworks/proE) in my down time at work i'm slowly working on a 240z model in NX (what GM uses for its cars) using its history free modeling, which is interesting to get my head around! the way is see it is 3dsmax is like making stuff in photoshop, where the other programs are more like illustrator

this is the only one i can find thats floating around on the net. but its clearly inaccurate - just look at the front headlight buckets side on! the most accurate way would be to take photos at a really long distance to try to remove perspective - but the furthest i can get away from my car currently is a couple of meters!

i dont get y so many peakhour driver's hate cyclists so much - i find them more annoying in offpeak times my view is that atleast in peak times it means one less car you have to be stuck behind

there are a fair few around now. i've continually been playing around with boat paint and the guys at the shop i've been buying it from generally chip and start on about them helping paint their mates motorbikes etc with the same stuff with a brush and how good it looks etc i've found you can also just put it on fairly thick and sand it down/polish it up and get a decent finish - it still obviously does not look like it has a clear coat on it, and i havent' bothered putting wax on any of it yet there's a guy somewhere in melb's north suburbs that was painting his mx5 black and it looked amazing, along with this guys vn commonwhore http://uob-community.ballarat.edu.au/~dmwilson/
