  1. but the factory seats are vinyl (plastic) not leather right?
  2. Yep, 260Z ones are taller. The lower subframe on the 260Z is different to the 240Z to accommodate the larger radiator. Though it is probably possible to fit a 240Z radiator in a 260Z and vice versa (although a 260Z radiator in a 240Z may leave the bottom tank vulnerable to damage) 240Z S30 rad support panel: http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsuns30/DatsunZIndex/Body240Z/RadiatorGrilleBumper/tabid/1749/Default.aspx 260/280Z S30 rad support panel http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsuns30/DatsunZIndex/Body260Z280Z/2Seater/RadiatorGrilleBumper/Sep74ToJul76/tabid/1774/Default.aspx
  3. But the gauges are on the wrong side
  4. Was there any nostril penetration?
  5. Some funny comments, but the answer I had in mind is this: In 1995 Nissan was planning to replace the Z32 300ZX in 1998 with a new Z car. Phil Saunders was designer at Nissan Design International in San Diego. Usual Practice was for the different Nissan design departments to come up with different designs, in a competition of sorts. This was Phil's Design for the new Z. It won through to the Advanced stage in Japan, but then Nissan decided to cancel the Z, and the Z32 was the last Z made until Nissan revived the project some years later producing the Z33 350Z. Phil Left Nissan in 1995, and continued his design career. Oh yeah, Iron Man. He designed the Iron Man suit for the movie. http://philsaunders.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=2008-01-01T00:00:00-08:00&updated-max=2009-01-01T00:00:00-08:00&max-results=21
  6. Accounts are self activated by clicking the link in the email that is sent to confirm the account. Where it falls over is spam filters filteing out the emails so you never get them, or mail server errors etc. I've reset you account password so give it another go.
  7. Heres a little quiz for you to ponder on. What has Nissans Z car and Iron Man From the movie have in common? (And not its nothing to do with headlight mods).
  8. Exactly. Anything that happens after the bend in the gutter trim is not a valid reference point of the rake of the front pillars. Now if you had 2 door window frames and could compare the angle from the vertical part inside the door to the angle of the bit along side the front pillar... That would give you a more accurate gauge of rake differences, if there are any.
  9. Well, he's half right. They they are real wood fibre, treated with some sort of plastic and high pressure (in a mold i guess) to form the shape. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?7801-production-number-for-1969&p=45493#post45493
  10. The cut outs look a little too big for ZG flares. Maybe they were preparing it for a ferrari conversion a la
  11. People aren't too concerned with build numbers for a '73, as they are probably going to be over 100,000 I was flipping through a classic car mag the other day that had a value guide. I think the best condition range was 20 to 30 thousand. Of course you'd be waiting for the right buyer for the higher range. I'd agree with Gav, if it's as good as it sounds. If you are selling, start high. You can always reduce the price later, a bit harder to do the opposite.
  12. Was just asking about the Z31 since you mentioned "the 300ZX (Z32) will fit but require bellhousing modifications.", and I have a manual Z31 i'll probably be wrecking.
  13. Hey Lurch, what about the 71C from a Z31, with a bell housing change. Will that fit (with or without shifter mods)?
