  1. I think it's trying to tell you something.
  2. Lots of rust, 2+2 https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/greta/cars-trailers-excavators-hire/260z/1209798801 $2,500
  3. 6min mark there is a 240k behind the Gemini and a Datsun dealer on the left around 6;30.. those were the days. Cool also it was filmed around Amaroo park, now defunct.
  4. I know Romas in Europe and Hung in North America have been working on it. Looks good so far. I can ask Hung for his honest opinion vs OEM if you like? I won't be ordering a set for a little while. As much as I want them. I have some OEM rings that need a little love.
  5. Reproduction stainless headlight covers. US $850.00 buy it now. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-240z-260z-280z-Metal-Repro-OE-Headlight-Covers-Clear-Nissan-/303045885398
  6. No major differences over the years that I'm aware of.
  7. NOS Calendar clocks. Price:US $325.00 https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-JDM-Datsun-Fairlady-Nissan-260Z-280Z-Calendar-Clock/113616615160
  8. Thanks Krizza, I'm a newbie with all this ignition stuff, so really just watching to learn and throwing out ideas..
  9. I wonder if it's the petronix unit itself that is causing you grief?
  10. Haha, yeah I had a hard time following it also. The main gist I got was that some were manipulating the market price wise, but also many were offloading cars as being something their not to unsuspecting "investor" types. No surprises really when large sums of money are involved.
  11. Fakes running around... https://outline.com/BESPRU
  12. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/south-toowoomba/wheels-tyres-rims/datsun-240-260-280z-iron-cross-alloy-wheels/1209575963 Look to be in great shape.
  13. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-datsun-240z-84/ 7 days to run on this 73 and $20k is the current bid.
  14. I tend to agree, I also think Resto mod S30z's may do better than Resto mod cars of the same era. Think Rb26 in a 240z. Simply because of the tuning culture around cars at the moment and that's always been a bucket list mod for some. Original examples will still do well, but I think modified cars may surprise in terms of value.
  15. You and I both...haven't found 1 yet.
  16. NOS volt gauge. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F113616696474
  17. I don't wanna get too hamfisted with it, that's how you make things worse. Gotta be careful of that soft alloy.
  18. Think it's hardened metal, drill bit doesn't seem to make much progress. I was worried also that by drilling into it, I might make it even harder to get out if I bur the end of it. It basically hasn't budged. I managed to get the other end off another 240z distributor though. So it's not that I'm doing something wrong. I think this 1 has just rusted itself in good.
  19. So I froze it like a paddle pop still no dice. I think now my only option is to grind it off.. I've tried heat, freezing, WD40 and brute force. Nothing is moving that pin. Even tried to drill it out, no luck.
  20. Jeff, 240z passenger door near you. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/bowral/auto-body-parts/datsun-240z-early-260z-passenger-side-door/1209128219
  21. Reproduction 240z tail lamps exist on eBay, I'd look at getting those since the "Euro" spec (which seems to be the incorrect but pervasive nomenclature used) ones are very rare to find here now. You could try via Muscle Car Parts in Sydney. https://allmusclecarparts.com.au/datsun/datsun-240z-tail-lamp-assembly-pair.html ebay link: https://www.ebay.com.au/i/273669129478?chn=ps They look ever so slightly different to the original Koito units, but come with gaskets, loom etc.. If you call them up they might give you a better price than via eBay since they won't have to pay eBay fees. Everyone's a winner, except EvilBay that way.
  22. Glad to hear it, let us know how your RHD conversion goes and show up some pics of the cars when you get a chance. Always good to see S30Z enthusiasts in other parts of the world.
  23. https://www.ebay.com/itm/312457511535 Pair of 40mm Mikuni/Solex PHH Carbs US $650.00
  24. 260z 2+2 in Branxton NSW. $12k. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/branxton/cars-vans-utes/1976-datsun-260z-2-2/1208863969
  25. Nice pinned this post, I've seen these valves new for $80 or so. Not $300! However at some point these may become NLA and always good to be able to fix something for a few dollars in seals.
